Woodland Friends...finished card

The last card of today is the card I started yesterday with the Woodland Friends clear stamps. I posted a draft coloured in version of something I made up using these stamps and, as promised, here is the finished version. I decoupaged the owl and stuck him in front of the tree. The shadow beneath him is actually from the flash, not something I have coloured.

Hope you like it and thanks for stopping by and visiting me today.

Fergus in Lilac

Here's another card made with Fergus with Tulips, this time in lilac and a slightly, simpler layout.

I stamped Fergus up and coloured him in. Then I cut around him leaving a white border and then mounted him onto black mirri card and cut around him again.

I then drew the 'H' and the 'I' freehand and coloured them in the same colour as the dragon and mounted those onto black mirri card too. Used some DP from My Minds Eye and that's it!

Fergus with Tulips

One of the stamps I purchased from the Glitter Pot when I met up with Sarn at the end of November was 'Fergus with Tulips', a clear stamp from Wild Rose Studio. Here's what I have made with him this morning, using my fab new Copic pens. The greeting is from my 'Friends' Woodland Folk stamp collection.

BTW: I still love my ProMarkers and will still be using them. Haven't decided yet which ones I like using better, although I have to say that I do really like the brush tip on the Copics, you get much more flexibility with it and you don't have to put hardly any pressure on to leave ink on the paper. Just a little bit of information for those of you who haven't yet tried them.

Hope you like the card and thanks for stopping by.

Animals at Christmas

These are photographs of the 'other' family members at Christmas time, that I thought I would share with you.

The lovely Harley posed beautifully for my swanky new camera and Kimmie enjoyed having her picture taken too, even Soxy the Rat enjoyed opening her Christmas presents.

Hope you all had a lovely Christmas.

Late Posting

Well, I hope you all had a lovely Christmas and are going to have a very happy new year to come. Today is the first day in a long time that I have felt even remotely 'normal' whatever that may be for me. But yes, today I am 'okay', not 100% by a long shot, but... I'm getting there. The scars on my back are healing nicely too, for those of you who also know that I managed to slip down my steps, in the back garden, in the snow, and do my back in aswell!!!

Anyway, just before Christmas, at the end of November, I went to the Glitter Pot with my good friend Sandra for a crafting class and it was a lovely day when I eventually got there that is. My sat nav managed to take me to READING!!! WTH!!! Anyway, after an additional HOURS drive, I managed to get there with just a few minutes left before the class was due to begin. After Sandra stopped laughing, we got down to business and made these two fabulous Christmas cards.

I haven't given them to anyone yet, in fact none of my Christmas cards were posted this year as Steve has been ill himself and despite being at work (on the ambulances... very busy time for him) he FORGOT to post them all! Doh! So everyone... I apologise for lack of Christmas post from the Campbells this year and I'll make it up to everyone next year! Promise x

I got some cool new Copics for Christmas this year from my lovely mummy. Copic set D from The Glitter Pot and so I have been colouring in something I created last night with another Christmas present called Home Sweet Home clear stamps from Woodland Folk. Wanna see? It's not been created into a card yet so is still work in progress, but here's what I have coloured so far.  Hope you like it.

Thanks for being patient with me, and thanks for staying loyal my lovely followers.
I'll be back proper, from now on, I feel the need to craft like I have never crafted before ha ha. So watch out. Lots of new goodies to play with and not enough time to play.

Happy New Year to everyone.

Funkilcious!!!

Here's a card that I made for our School's Chaplain, it's his 30th birthday today so I was asked to make a musicky, hip, funky card for him with a slightly 80's theme. Not much to go on with there then...????

Anyway, I thought the background paper was a bit 80's, funky and reminded me a little of lava lamps??? So I added some of that and then downloaded one of Kenny K's Designs. You can't see it in the picture but I also decoupaged the shades and the drums.

I added some coordinating ribbon and the wording was printed around the image on my PC. I added some cool black suede feel dots and coloured the image with my promarkers; lime and pear green, black, china blue, cocoa, blush and ivory. I highlighted certain areas with a white coloured pencil and my silver and gold sakura gellyroll pens.

Hope you (and he) likes it?
Thanks for stopping by today and don't forget, I will be announcing the winner of the Hodge Podge digi stamp on the 30th November, so you still have a little time to leave your comments on the post.  Good luck!

HPS Challenge #4 Anything Goes

Okay girls
Here's the latest Hodge Podge Shop Challenge: ANYTHING GOES!

Make whatever you like (preferrably using a Hodge Podge image, but not essential). Here's my card:

I used the Hodge Podge Shop ice cream and one of my cute Forever Friends bears, which is actually holding a bottle of champers but I placed the ice cream over the top and decoupaged his hands over the top of the cornet! You can't see it very well in this picture but it has been decoupaged. The letters spelling 'Elaine' were also added using foam pads.  The DP's are by My Minds Eye and come from the 'Just For Girls' paper stack.

The birthday greeting is from Craftwork Cards and I just added some Prima flowers and some pearls.

Hope you like it and thanks for stopping by and Good luck with the Challenge!

Hugs, Fae xxx

P.S. I will be announcing the winner of the HPS Digi Stamp (chosen randomly from the comments left on the HPS Challenge posted on MY blog) on the 30th November, when Hodge Podge Shop Blog will announce the overall winner of the Blog Hop. Good luck and thanks for all your comments x

My Digital Stamps

I've been playing (in my boredom) with my new drawing tablet... a little pressie from my lovely daddy. And this is a digi stamp that I came up with.

Feel free to use it, bear in mind it's my first attempt with the drawing tablet and it therefore might not be a great drawing. But I have printed it off to make a card with it, that I intend to post once I have coloured it in.

As I said, feel free to use the image, but please leave me a comment so that I can come and view your blog post if you make a card with it. I would love to see what you make with it.

Thanks for stopping by.

Heidi's First Christmas

Hi girls, I'm back.

A friend of mine at work wanted a special card for his Niece and God-Daughter Heidi (her first christmas), but after trailing the High Street looking for something special, and not finding anything, someone else at work suggested that he should come and see me.

I told him that I would make him something special and something that couldn't be found in ANY shops. I hope that I have done him proud. I personally think I have nailed it and I am really pleased with the final outcome.

I started off by merging TWO of Mo's images together, Snowman and Kai's Christmas images, in paint.net and added the text using the font called Fontdinerdotcom Sparkly, downloaded for free from www.dafont.com in pink and then I printed the image off. I wanted to keep the card quite pink and girlie and used ProMarkers Blush, Ivory, Blossom, Rose Pink, Cocoa, Pumpkin, Poppy and Cool Grey 3. I then added my infamous spotty background and some glitter.

My next task was to put it all together; I mounted the image onto pink card stock and then cut the border using my Martha Stewart Stars punch and then added some pink gingham ribbon. I mounted that onto white base card and added some of my swirly paper from Craftwork Cards and then added the flowers in the top right corner with my glue gun, to which I added a little glitter. Job done!

Hope he likes it as much as I do.

Hodge Podge Blog Challenge

Please may I firstly apologise, if you have come here expecting to find me included in the Hodge Podge Challenge. There is no excuse for my tardiness, other than I have received some bad news this week and it's sort of thrown the week out of whack!!! Christmas Trio

Okay girls,

Here's a little something I made last night. I started it on Rudolph Day but didn't finish it until last night... so it still counts!

I made the card using a snowflake stamp that is made by Papermania and the main image bear is by Lili of the Valley, which I stamped three times and cut out individually. I coloured each bear with Ice Grey 2, 3 and 4 and then used Ruby and Poppy on the hat and Canary for the star.

I stamped the snowflakes with metallic silver ink onto red card.

I then simply added some glitter Stickles to the star and on the white areas of the hat.

Thanks for stopping by,

Mother and Son crafting sesh 2

Hi girls
Here's the second card I made last night, using one of Simply Bettys Stamps. I coloured her all in green as it is for a Halloween Birthday.

I kept it simple by just adding some green DP (although it's Christmas paper, I thought it would serve a purpose without necessarily being Christmassy).

I added a black flower and a black birthday greeting sentiment.

I mounted the image onto black mirri card but at angles so that it wasn't just square on square.

And here is Lewis's version of the same image, using the same DP.

He added some hearts to the top of the image, as he thought she looked like she was thinking about a loved one. Ahhhh x

Again, I think he has coloured this in really well and his card looks fab.

Thanks for taking the time to view our cards today. I hope you liked them?

Mother and Son crafting sesh 1

Hi girls

Me and Lewis have been having a fun weekend making cards together. It's been lovely. He's been copying all my cards and we've just had lots of fun. I think he's a chip off the old block too because I think his cards are fab!

Here's my card using one of Mo Mannings images from Digital Pencil. I just love this image as it reminds me of my childhood. Me and my parents dogs would just fall asleep anywhere, usually with me using one of the dogs as a pillow. I think my parents have even got a photograph of me in a similar pose with one of the Dobes. I'll have to see if she can hunt it down.

I added some scrap DP from My minds Eye 'Dotty Stack' to a black mirri card base card and then mounted the image onto red and black card and then added the flower which was a prima flower in pink and black but I used my ProMarkers pens to re-colour the flower in red to match.

And here is Lewis' card (he's 9 years old BTW) using a similar image (mine is a little girl and his is a little boy). Isn't it brilliant? I helped him do the dots because he was worried that he had done a little too much around the edges. I think it's perfect just the way it is. I'm looking forward to crafting some more with my new crafting buddy. It's nice to have company now and again but he was so enthusiastic and so pleased with what he had managed to create that I thought I had to share it with you all.

HPS Challenge #2 Monochromatic

Okay girls

Hodge Podge Challenge Number 2, is all about 'Monochromatic' so get your cards in for this fortnights challenge over at the Hodge Podge Shop.

You don't have to use a Hodge Podge image to take part but it helps. Here's my card for the DT and I hope you will make some time to join us. We had some amazing cards in for the last challenge. It'll be nice to see some new faces as well as the ones who took part last week.

My card is using one of the Hodge Podge Shops digi stamps and just white, grey and black to colour. The background has been stamped with a clear heart stamp and black ink only. The text was printed off the printer.

Hope you like it and I'll look forward to seeing your creations soon.

Bye for now
Thanks for stopping by.

My Creepy Halloween Valentine

Hi girls, last one for today and this one is being entered into TWO challenges.

The first one being -
Haunted Design House: A Li'l Lurid and Lovesick and
TiddlyInks Challenge Blog: Anything Halloween

I, of course, used a Tiddly Inks image and coloured her in lurid red and distressed the edges slightly with coloured inks. And then the inside has my 'heart' for my hubby. Bleurghhhh, I hear you say! But I love him. I do!

It's a Halloween Valentine... why don't we actually have these cards in the shops. My heart belongs to you and all that. My Creepy Valentine... good idea for goths anyway.

I hope that it complies with both challenges rules and that you like it. Mores the point, I hope hubby likes it. He's not as creepy as I am. Whaaaaa ha haaaaaaaa...

Here's a little look at the inside of the card.

Yes, yes... I know it isn't Hallowe'en yet but, Happy Hallowe'en Girls and Boys.  Watch them bed bugs don't bite.

TWINS!!!

Hi girls,
Just a couple of little ones today.

I made these cards for a good friend of mine, Antonina, who has twin boys, Gianni and Louis, who celebrated their 8th birthday on Friday last week.  I know that she has received them now, so I can post them onto my blog.

The digital images are from Karens Doodles and I have coloured them with ProMarkers: Denim Blue, Forest Green, Cocoa, Blush and Ivory.

This first card, for Louis, was coloured simply and added a little dotty background. Then I mounted the image onto black mirri card and then mounted it again onto a scrap piece of My Minds Eye 'Dotty Stack' designer papers.

The wording was placed beneath the image when I selected which image I wanted to print.

The second card, for Gianni, was coloured in exactly the same way, well... they are TWINS... and mounted in the same way only I used a different Karens Doodles image and different DP also from the My Minds Eye 'Dotty Stack'.

Although they are twins, I am sure that they have very different personalities, so that's why I wanted to make their cards similar but different. Hope Antonina and the boys like them.

Hope YOU like them too.

Christmas Humm-Bugs

Card number four is last but by no means least and is my current favourite Christmas Card for 2010 so far. I used a Tiddly Inks image and kept the colours mainly red and green.

I had great fun colouring this image and used my infamous spotted background around the image, picking out some of the colours used on the image, which I think looks pretty cool.

I mounted the image onto black mirri cardstock and then cut some red DP and mounted that too. I then added a ribbon and a small present and finished the card off by adding little sprinkles of glitter to the baubles and the fairy bugs wings.

Hope you like it too?

Fairy Nice to See You

Card number three is made using another Tiddly Inks image. I love these little bug fairies. I coloured her in with Cardinal Red, Indigo Blue, Cinnamon, Cocoa, Henna, Blush and Ivory ProMarkers, and added some gold Sakura Gelly Roll onto to the star.

I took two different DPs and tore the edges from one of them and made the second piece smaller and stuck it to one side of the image. I mounted the image to the card and then added some flowers and a rustic charm (from an old bracelet... did I mention before? I keep EVERYTHING).

I then simply added the sentiment. Job done.

Whazzzzzzzup?

Here's card number 2, using a fab image from Simply Betty Stamps. Using the same technique as before, I enlarged the image to fit the A5 card and then printed a duplicate of the same size onto plain white card. Cut some parts of the image out and coloured those in once mounted onto black mirri card. I then printed off a smaller image and flipped it so that she would be facing the other way. I coloured it in with Lianne's school uniform colours in mind, but she'll either use it for one of her friends or I will use it for her.

Hope you like it? Experiment over now... I promise.

Experiment in Terror

Hi girls
Had a busy week, despite being full of flu. I have made a few cards that I would like to share with you and, a few that I won't, Mojo has been as poorly as my head I think and therefore SOME of the cards are fit for publication and the others... well... they're only fit for the bin!

Here's my first one, which was a bit of an experiment with terror. I enlarged the digi image to cover one half of the base card and then printed another of the same size onto plain white card. I then smudged some black stayzon ink around the edges of the base card and cut out a little piece of the duplicated image. Which I coloured in and mounted onto black mirri card. I coloured them in with ProMarkers; Cocoa, Henna, Cinnamon, Blush, Ivory, Lime Green, Indigo Blue, Cool Grey 5 and Cool Grey 3.

I was hoping for a totally spooky (yet cutesy) card and I think the black and white, with a splash of colour worked sort of... didn't it?

Thanks for stopping by.

Funky Chick

And my final card for today before I go to bed.

This was a lucky find.

I went onto google and typed in 'free children's colouring pages' as I was looking for an image (not used before) for a birthday card for a teenager, thinking Scooby Doo or Spongebob would come up. And I came across this free colouring image by Kenny K no less!!!! Fab!  So, I double checked that it was FREE and then proceeded to print it off and colour it in. I am sooooo pleased how it came out. So of course, I am giving all credit to the fabulous Kenny K for being such a fab artist and all the other credit goes to me. I am loving this card and this image. I think I did an 'okay' job on this one and Isabella loved it when she received it. Ahhhh, that's what making cards is all about... 'knowing that the recipient is chuffed that you spent so much time and effort into making a one-off special card just for her (or him).

Anyway, I hope you like the card and thanks for visiting my blog today.
Hope to see you all again soon.

Remember, the Hodge Podge Shop challenge begins tomorrow, so be sure to pop over and find out how to take part. Hope to see your fab creations.

Take care, my friends

Pinky in Lilac

Here's another card I made earlier in the week. Sorry about my shoddy posting this week, haven't been too good so I am justing getting around to it now and I love this timed posting, you just set it at whatever time you want and it does it all for you.

Anyway, I digress... back to my card.

This image is one of Christy Croll's over at Tiddly Inks... she's called 'Pinky' and I have to say that she's still my favourite image.

I kept the colours in the DP quite bold, yet the image itself is pale and neutral.  I think it makes her stand out more. I just used ProMarkers Cocoa, Cinnamon, Blush, Ivory, Amethyst, Lilac and Bluebell

H-Owling Hallowe'en

Hi girls
As promised, here is my FIRST DT challenge card for the Hodge Podge Blog.

I distressed two different but similarly coloured designer papers buy rubbing a copper ink pad over the top and around the edges. I then mounted both DP onto gold mirri card and then printed off the Hallowe'en Owl (available at Hodge Podge Shop).

I used ProMarkers: Henna, Cocoa, Shale, Primrose Yellow, Canary, Pumpkin and Apricot. I then highlighted certain areas with a gold Sakura Gelly Roll pen.

I added a gold Craftwork Cards sentiment and some orange miniature 'aster' flowers.

Hope you like it and hope you too will take some time to make a card for the Hodge Podge Challenge No1 tomorrow. Good luck.

Hope you can make it and we all look forward to seeing your creations.

Pretty in Pink

This card is a belated 18th for URSULA.  Another fab Kenny K Digi Image (I just love these girls, although I do have a fella too, I just hven't put one on a card yet because everytime I print one out, Lewis colours him in!!!).

This image was perfect for Ursula, iPod included etc and I kept the colours quite neutral as she is a genteel girl and very pretty. The bold colours in the DP was enough colour for this card I thought and therefore I think the image stands out all the more.

Coloured with promarkers: blush, ivory, cinnamon, cocoa, denim blue, blossom, ice grey 1 and cool grey 3. Simples!

Added just a few flat paper flowers by Petaloo and a couple of gems. Hope you like her?

Bad Babe

Here's a little number that I created for a colleague at work to give to Katie for her 18th.  I just love these Kenny K digi stamps. This is such an easy one to colour and I really enjoy using all of these images.  I used some scrap DP from my stash. I printed the image and, after colouring her, mounted the image onto black mirri card. I then mounted the lettering to match and stuck it all down.

I used ProMarker pens; blush, bashful, denim blue, black, pastel yellow and canary.

The letters below the image were my freehand, vain attempt at grafitti. I think they're okay. The adhesive numbers are from Tesco.

Lewis' 9th Birthday

Okay, so... as promised, here is Lewis' birthday card.  Wanted to keep it really simple and cutesy and this image from Phindy is soooo Lewis!

I started by printing out the image and then coloured it with my promarkers and added the little dotty background. I then added some DP that matched the colours used (what a find as it matched perfectly and it was from my scrap stash) and then simply finished it off with a simple birthday greeting. He loved it.

Birthday Boy

Hi girls
Sorry I haven't blogged for a while. I have been in a littel bit of pain and have been running around like a fairy in a trance getting presents etc for my baby boy's 9th birthday tomorrow. Can't believe he's going to be nine already... it's gone so fast! Seriously though, where does the time go???

Anyway, I'll be posting his birthday card tomorrow (because he looks at my blog) and then I'll hopefully be back to normal.

Hope you are all well.
Thanks for putting up with my absence.

DT Cards for Hodge Podge Shop

Hi girls
A lot has happened since my last post... no I didn't win the lottery. But I did win a family ticket to Broxbourne Safari Park on the radio and I have been given a post as a DT (Design Team) member on the Hodge Podge Shop Challenge Blog for six months.  Here are the first cards I have made using their images.

Card Number 1: I made up a basic easel card and printed off HPS (Hodge Podge Shop) image (Genie Oil Lantern), which I coloured with ProMarkers Pastel Yellow and Canary. I highlighted certain parts of the image with a gold Sakura Gelly Roll Pen and added adhesive 1mm gemstones and 2mm pearls.

I mounted the image onto two different DP (designer paper) from the MME Bright Dots Stack. And then added some Petaloo flowers and some roses (from stash). The 'wishes' sentiment, comes from Craftwork Cards.

Card Number 2:  Is your basic A5 card (A4 folded in half). I cut some DP, that I thought would match my colours and stuck it to the base and printed off the second of my HPS images (Halloween Owl) and coloured it using ProMarkers; Indigo Blue, Canary, Pumpkin, Honeycomb, Cocoa, Terracotta and Cinnamon.

I cut a piece of white card and edged it with the Indigo Blue PM so that it would match the blue used behind the moon and mounted the image to that with DSST (double sided sticky tape) and then added a coordinating ribbon.

The digital images used in both of these cards are available here if you are interested.

Hope you like my cards, my first effort as a DT member for Hodge Podge Shop? And I hope that I have offered you a little bit of inspiration to go and make your own. Happy crafting.

White on White

Hi Girls

Well...I got up this morning and had a look at Mo's challenge blog and discovered that this week's challenge was 'white on white'.

The image can be coloured but the background and the embellishments must be predominantly white.

So... I thought this might be a bit tricky at first but then the telephone rang and it was my Aunty Rosanne.  For those of you that know my family or know of my family... we never talk for five minutes and hang up! It's ALWAYS an hour long conversation. Which is great, because I love talking to my Aunty RoRo, she's always out when she calls, and so usually ends up having a conversation with me and most of London too while she's at it.

Today she was shopping for Disaronno and discussing tiger bread (which made me VERY hungry). Anyway, the conversation flowed and while that did, so did my creativity. I made this card the whole time I was on the phone to her. I literally finished it... as we say our goodbyes! One hour and twenty minutes!!!

Here is what I did:
The image used is 'Angelica's Balloons' by Mo at Digital Pencil, which I printed off twice (main image and for decoupaging the balloons). First of all I took some white embossed DP and placed it onto the top of the easel card. Then I cut another piece to fit the base and cut out a large circle using my nestabilities and my Big Shot. I stuck these down. I then used the same scalloped cirle to cut around my image, which I coloured with me ProMarker pens: Blush, Ivory, Blossom, Pastel Pink, Tan and Sandstone. I stuck this down to the front of the easel and added 1mm adhesive pearls. I printed off another image and just cut out the balloons, which I coloured and decoupaged over the first image with foam adhesive pads (so that they were 'out of the circle').

I then added some ribbon, some flowers (using my new hot glue gun) and... here is the finished card. Hope Mo likes it, but hope you do too?

Thanks for stopping by.

Memory Lane

Ha ha ha what fun.

Keryn at Poppy Dog Blogspot is challenging people to post their 'old' photos. So I thought I would get in on that one too.

Here's me as a little nipper. My grandparents used to live in a big block of flats at Deptford in London and I used to love playing in the play area downstairs at the base. She lived on the seventeenth floor and the lift was ALWAYS breaking down or being vandalised. So glad she lives in Watford, just around the corner from me, now.

This photograph was of me c1980, when I was still at school. I was totally crazy about Gary Kemp in Spandau Ballet and was convinced that one day I would marry him. Now he's a client of my dad's and I keep badgering my dad to get me his autograph... but he won't!

This last photograph is of me with one of the actors from The Bill. He played the character PC Reg Hollis. My dad's friend contacted him to ask if the film crew could 'borrow' one of my dad's Dobermann Pinchers for the day, so I took along Digger (RIP). We had a great day and Digger had his fifteen minutes of fame! And, it was one of my favourite episodes (I wonder why???)

Thanks for visiting.
