Con-grad-ulations!

I was asked to make a graduation card for a friend's niece. I think this stamp is called GraduBella (although don't quote me on that, it was part of a selection of images sent by my friend, Linda). I added sime greenery to the bouquet and watercoloured her gown so that it wasn't TOO black. I added some ribbon and her name. Some flowers and some glitter to the roses. I have also added a tassle to the spine of the card (although this is not visible in the photo). I also added some glitter to the collar of her gown, just to add some glitz. The 'congratulations' is from a clear design collection from Hero Arts.

Flower Girl

This card was made with Bella as the star attraction with some shoe embellishments that I recycled from one of my recent birthday cards, which I thought went perfectly with the colours and the design of the card. The background paper (from www.urbanlilly.com.au) was mounted onto white cardstock and a ribbon was added to finish. Coloured in watercolours and blendable pencils.

One Martini...

Another favourite card. I love this stripy background paper and can't believe I have used it all up already, but I have to say that I have made some nice cards and have been really creative with it, it's been great matching colours with it. As you can see in this card, I have colour coordinated the background cardstock and her top with the paper and the flowers. Sarn sent me the image of the cupcake at the bottom, already stamped onto lilac card, which matched perfectly fortunately. So I added some glitter and some white highlights and coloured the cherry in red and green. I then mounted it onto foam pads to add some depth.

Working Girl

This card was made for one of the teachers leaving the school this summer so I thought I would try to create her personality in the card. She is very bright and a really nice person so I tried to use bright colours and I liked the image of the girl at the desk (as she is a teacher). I coloured the image using watercolour pencils to match the background paper and then decoupaged her name in the same colours. Then added a bit of glitter to finish of the effect.

Bella Card

Apologies to those who don't like Bella but I wanted to show you how this card worked. I got the idea from Simply Cards and Papercraft Magazine the lilac 'flap' at the front folds into a strip that has been cut from the front of the card, you can see it better in the previous photograph added. I just thought it was a really eyecatching idea (and something different). I added a plain white insert inside so a greeting could be added from me to Gizelle.

Buttons Galore

A Bella stamp. Some I know dislike her, but I love this card. The papers in the background came as freebies with Simply Cards and Papercraft. Flowers as before. With Love tag from Card Art Papercrafts, which were purchased from John Lewis. Ribbon was threaded through an old cardigan, which was salvaged when cardi shrank in the wash and promptly thrown in the bin. Lovely bright colourful way to wish Gizelle a Happy Birthday on 9th April.

Made in Heaven

Anniversary card for Robert and Chrissie. Bella image courtesy of Linda which I coloured with watercolour pencils and added the 'Celebrate' text and the silver 'Happy Anniversary' (by Anita's). Button on Bella's Fella's suit is an adhesive pearl to make it a little bit 3D. The silver/grey cardstock had the glitter diamonds on it when I bought it. Again, I've had it about three years and never used it as it was too nice, but it was worth it for this couple. The 'RC' I cut out manually and mounted onto the same glitter metallic card that I mounted the image to.

Sit back and Relax...

Who could forget 'NANNA' on Mother's Day...?
After all, without her, none of us would be here, so I made my nanna a card too. Sadly I didn't get around to making my other nanny a card as well as I only decided to do one today and I wouldn't have enough time to post it to her so maybe I will send her a belated Mother's Day Card or just a card to make her smile and say 'hello'. I'll make her a nice one either way, whatever the occasion.

On top of things...

This card is for my sister-in-law Sherree's birthday. It's not until the 24th but as you can see I am getting on top of things and keeping up-to-date. I'm so paranoid that I'll forget something or someone I'm trying to make sure I'm well ahead of myself in the calendar should the unexpected occur.

She's also a Bella but I'm not sure which one (again courtesy of my good friend). I added the adhesive pearls, in the form of three and then added the flower and the giant S which again I made myself using the same background paper and then mounted onto silver metallic card. Don't faint Sarn, no ribbons!

S is for Suzy...

S is for Suzy... Don't know if Suzy is sister to Hannah but I was asked to make two 18th birthday cards. One for a girl who liked to shop and another for a girl into beauty products. Don't know if you can see but the boxes say, ' Beauty...Lipstick...Powder and Cosmetics.' I think they'll like them (I do)!

Cut out the letters by hand and matched them to the background card used to mount the stamped image. Cardstock is black and so is the flower. The funky ribbon was bought on the internet and the brads were purchased at AP.

Stamped image is a Bella. Don't know which one as friend stamped a load and posted them to me.

H is for Hannah...

H is for Hannah, Hannah's 18th Birthday. I made the 'H' myself, stamped Bella image courtesy of my friend which I coloured in with pencils and mounted onto pink paper and then onto metallic pink card. I made the 'H' with the same pink paper which I also mounted onto metallic pink card and cut around to make a border, I then used foam pads to give it dimension and raise it above the other images. I then added the pink PaperMania flower, the ribbon and the Zoomz, then added the Anita's silver wording and number 18.

Birthday Bella

Here's another Bella offering in the form of a Birthday card this time.

She's not topped my number 1 spot, never been defeated, Penny Black stamps, they're my all-time favourites, but she comes a very close second. She's growing on me more and more.

Stamping Bella

Allow me to introduce 'Bella'. I love these stamps, they're fab and there are SOOOOO many of them to choose from. She comes in so many different poses and scenes, a girl for all seasons.

I just had to make this one for a friend of mine who doesn't really celebrate Christmas as such, so I opted for an untraditional orange and blue instead of the usual red and green, but Bella is still bearing gifts.

Bella's

Just been on Stamping Caz's blog and she mentioned the Bella stamps so I went on their website and I've fallen in lurve, they're fab. Got to buy some of those, they'll make brilliant cards and they have such a fantastic selection. Gotta get some... soon. Have to save up 'big time' first though as money's too tight to mention at the moment.
