Frosty Autumn

Hi guys and girls

Here's another card...

I started making this card yesterday after my doctors appointment and then I lost the plot slightly and didn't know what to do with it.  I stamped the white base card stock all over with the Stampendous D112 Sketched Butterfly stamp in black.  Then, I picked two specific areas on the stamp, and coloured those areas in two different shades of blue.  This was when I got lost...

This morning, I woke up and knew how to finish the card.  I stamped the butterfly again on white card and added a sentiment (another unmounted grey sentiment stamp from the bargain bucket at Alexandra Palace 2010) that simply says

"Sing in the Rain, Dance in the Sun, Dream by the light of the Moon"

Then I mounted that onto blue Papermania card stock and mounted the whole thing to the left of the base card.  I then coloured in the same two areas with the same two shades of blue and added some adhesive diamantes.

Faerie Heaven

Here is my latest offering.  The background stamp is 'Sketched Butterfly' by Stampendous and was a present from my good friend, Sarn and the fairy is by PSX. This is one I have had forever. Fae means Faerie and so I am a huge collector of faeries and such like and therefore this stamp is a definite keeper. I don't use her very often but when I do I am always happy with whatever I have created and this is no exception.

I stamped the background butterfly onto white cardstock with 'Impress Lavender' raised ink pad and then stamped the faerie with black Stayzon and added a little blue pencil to her wings and a few of the butterflies in her hair and then added some glitter. I then stamped the greeting from Hero Arts, which I cut out leaving a small border and mounted onto black card which also had a little border when cut. I then added the ribbon and the pearls and some more glitter to the background butterflies. Et voila! Faerie heaven. My work here is done!

I made this card for my sister-in-law, Dianne, who is celebrating her birthday tomorrow. Happy Birthday Di, have a great day!

Gardening Goddess

Here's another of my favourite Penny Black stamps.  I stamped the background with a Banana Frog stamp in Black and then the Stampendous butterfly stamp in Magenta.  I then stamped the PB image and coloured it with my Promarkers: Blossom, Lime Green, Forest Green, Ice Grey 1 and Cool Grey 2. I then added a simple greeting with foam pads to finish.

Lilac Blooms

This is a different easel card that I made last night also, for my mother-in-law. Her colours as you can probably tell are lilac and purple.

I was a little nervous colouring this card as it was the FIRST TIME EVER USING SANSODOR with blending stumps! I think I did pretty good for my first attempt though and I was really pleased with the finished result. I am sure that Gwen will love it as Steve was really pleased with it too.

The image is from Lili of the Valley which I stamped onto plain white card. I then added a strip of white card behind the image which I stamped using a rather lovely butterfly stamp that my mate Sarn gave me a while ago, I think it's Stampendous, but she would know for sure??? I'm not very good at remember names am I? The 'sending sunshine' sentiment is Hero Arts and so is the little dragonfly next to it, which I stamped three times and then added the little dashes with a black pen freehand. I added the ribbon and the flowers and then put all the layering together. Looks pretty good I think and, as I said before, I was really pleased with how the Sansodor looked when I had finished colouring the image with my coloured pencils.
