Luck o' the Irish

Hi girls (and fellow crafters)
I can finally make cards again (or rather use my scalpel and stand for a limited period of time - I like to stand when I am crafting... weird I know, but hey it's my preference) so I have put together some of the images I have been colouring in while I have been recovering from my op and I have made some cards with them that I thought I would share with you.

The first one I am going to show is a card I have made for Karens Doodles Challenge Blog and this week's challenge is to 'Go GREEN'. So I thought what better time to make my good friend Kathy a Happy St Patrick's Day card.

Here's what I did:
I covered my white base card in a little green DP and then cut a circle in the centre using my new circle cutter.

On the inside of the card, I covered the circle with acetate, and then cut a larger circle into some holographic mirri card to use as the back (and the seal) of my shaker. I then went around the circle with foam pads and added gold stars and silver hearts to the 'hole'. I then attached the holographic circle to the foam pads and pressed down firmly.

Now it was time to finish off the outside of the card. So I used Karen's Doodles Lucky Leprechaun and coloured him in the following promarkers: Pear, Grass and Forest Green. A little Cinnamon for his cane and Pumpkin and Cinnamon blended together for his beard and his eyebrows. Then I got my gold Sakura Gelly Roll pen and coloured his buttons and buckles with it.

I cut around the image leaving a thin white border and mounted it to the front of the acetate with foam pads. Hope you like him, I think this image can't help but make you smile?

Thanks for stopping by, hugs xxx
