Acetate Inspiration

Using some inspiration from Katharina's blog, I decided to try and make an acetate card. Her card is far more superior than mine as she used some gorgeous rub-ons on her acetate but as this was a first attempt I don't think I did too bad.

I love this image too, which I coloured with blendable colour pencils and added to a red cardstock and yellow shimmer background paper. I didn't have a fab corner cutter so I simply used a small circle punch and lined it up to try and get equal sized corners...

Added the flower and a brad for each corner.

Great colour co-ordination.

Everybody will be buying blendable pencils now. I've ordered one of those corner punches but apparently they are hard to get hold of so I'm still waiting. Acetate is great to work with, isn't it?

I loved the finished result and it does look much better IRL! At first I didn't think the acetate would be thick enough to use as it seemed ever so flimsy but when I added the card on the front and inside it made it much less bendy and stands up perfectly.

I can't rate those blendable pencils enough, they're grrrreat!CRAYOLA Blendable Pencils. Do you think they'll give me a commission?
