Bunny Girl

This card is the same image as the Bundle of Joy card below, only this time... it's PINK! I added glitter but left the 'name plate' blank so that a name can be added later as I have no immediate use for it right now but loved the image and couldn't wait to use it.

Bundle of Joy

This card was made for my friend Jane who recently had a baby which she has named 'George'. He is gorgeous and everything a little baby boy should be and he is sooooooo smiley.

His big sister Lily loves him dearly and who can blame her. Congratulations Jane, Ian and Lily on your newest member of your family.

18th 4 Paige

This is another of the 18th cards. This one was for Paige. The images were sent to me from my friend Linda (US), for which I am grateful. She loves Penny Black images so I just sent her a batch - hope to see them soon Lindy. I added some flowers and the letters were cut using my Big Shot.

18th 4 Mel

This is one of the 18th birthday cards I get asked to make from time to time. They are given to the pupils at my school by one of the RE teachers, he's really thoughtful like that and makes sure that no-one gets left out. As they all have a personal message inside from him, I always like to make sure that each card has the individuals name on the front too.

Unfortunately, he won't be teaching Sixth Form next Academic Year so this batch are the last of them. Boo Hoo!

Steve's Father's Day Card

This is the card I made for Steve from the children for Father's Day. He was still in hospital at the time so we wanted to cheer him up as well. We added the Skeleton leaves, flowers and gems and colour co-ordinating ribbon.

Haven't been here a while...

Well, sorry I haven't been around for a while, but here are the cards I made for Father's Day. Hope you're not too disappointed and it was worth the wait.

This is the card I made for MY dad as he loves steam trains. I found the image on an old card and cut it out and mounted it onto Father's Day 12 x 12 paper, I then added the flowers and gems and the circle greeting 'Dad'. Like Father was a rub on and I handwrote the words, 'like daughter'. I finished the card with a little colour co-ordinated ribbon and used some more of the 12 x 12 on the envelope.

PS... Another Message

Not related to Tenerife, just incase anyone was interested as I have received a couple of texts since arriving here about it, but yes, Steve went back to the doctors yesterday and has been for more blood tests and some tests on his kidneys. He still has the blood infection although they are still not sure what that means exactly or what has caused it and they think he may be having a few problems with his kidneys, which could be a result of the operation??? or could be related to the Actiniomyces that he had. We´ll see and I will let you know more when I get home and find out more, but he is currently well and regaining his strength... fingers crossed, it stays that way.

Another Postcard from Tenerife

Ola everybody, it´s me again, reporting from a very sunny Tenerife. Well... not so sunny at the moment as it is 10.45pm. Tomorrow is our last night here and so we are going to go out with Mum and Grandma to see a singing Elvis impersonator. We have been watching Britains Got Talent too, how sad are we all??? But hey, it´s gotta be done. I even managed to make a card here too with some lovely bits and bobs that I bought today, it was quite a spectacle as well, as everyone sat around the pool area watching me. Should´ve bought some more stuff, I could have charged them all for a crafting session, ha ha ha! It could only happen to me, I only went down to the pool for a swim and a bit fo a sunbathe and to have some quite crafting time.

We are going to attempt to go and see the volcano tomorrow, if it´s not too hot, which should be fun, not for mum and nan but me and the kids should get a kick out of it, apparently they are currently filming ´Clash of the Titans´there, yet another remake of a remake no doubt???

Got a bit burned today as I didn´t have any sunscreen on, but tan is progressing nicely, even if I am a little stiff tonight, never mind though eh? I personally couldn´t care less if I am a wrinkly old hag when I am in my 60´s, I look like one now ha ha ha xxx

Anyway, doubt if I will get a chance to send another e-postcard, so I´ll say goodnight to you all now and probably won´t get on here again until I return to good ol´sunny England. God I miss my cup of tea, by that, I mean a decent cup of tea. Only Lipton´s Lemon Tea out here, unless I am looking in all the wrong places, but what I have been drinking, apart from the odd alcoholic beverage that is, is definitely not Tetley´s.

Anyway, I´ll say by for now and thanks for your lovely messages to my previous postcard - yes, we are all having a great time, but can´t wait to get back home.

See you all soon, Adios Amigos xxx

Blogging from Tenerife

Hi guys, I´m blogging to you from Tenerife... Playa de Americas to be precise. Having a great time. The weather here is overcast in the mornings but very very hot from lunchtime onwards. Already brown and have only been here since Sunday evening.

Today we have been along to the beach and have bought loads of things...mainly handbags, but for those of you who know me well, that will come as no surprise at all.

The children are having a fabulous time and nan is stopping every five minutes for a very large, cold beer...ha ha ha - no surprise there either???? She´s even started asking for double doubles...lush!

We are all having a nice time and despite the overcast mornings, are still managing to get sore shoulders and the backs of my legs are smarting a little. I´m not bothering with postcards as I didn´t bring my address book with me. Will try and upload a photo or two when I get back, maybe one of the volcano, which is beautiful and we can see it quite closely from the balcony window...fingers crossed no eruptions, although I think nan and mum might erupt at some point if they keep arguing with each other.

Love to all. Happy crafting and I´ll see you all soon. Take care
Adios xxxx

Ellie for Grandparents

This is a card I made for Tracey's mum, Theresa and Ian, who became grandparents for the first time. They are so proud. Bless!

Again, the basecard was embossed, using a bubbles embossing pad on my Big Shot, and the letters were cut using a Sissiz Die Cut. Added the flower which was a Papermania freebie, if I remember rightly, from a magazine.

I added a blue 'bubbles' ribbon under the letters on the left to add a bit of texture to the card.
