Fairytale Wedding

Hi girls (and guys)
Just wanted to add a little card that I have made for a friend's wedding. Wendy and Kevin are getting married on Saturday 30th July and I was honoured to make all her wedding and evening invitations, her place names and her seating plan for her, so I wanted to make a really special wedding card for her.

I used two digital images, the magical, whimsical house (which I would love to live in) from Make it Crafty and the couple from Tiddly Inks (my favourite digiartist, Christie Croll is just amazing). I merged the two images together and added a free sentiment from Create with TLC and voila. I printed the image off twice so that I could decoupage some of it over the top and this is what I came up with.

I coloured the image with my promarker pens and then used my coloured pencils to add highlighted and shaded areas and give them more depth, I then went over the whole image with Gamsol to blend the pencil in with the promarkers. This is also good for 'setting' the image, sort of like spraying art work at school with hairspray. It basically stops it from smudging or smearing later from too much handling.

I then painstakingly cut out the 'vines' and the door and then the bride and mounted them onto foam pads to create some 'depth' to the image.

Here's an even closer version of the card so that you can see all of the little areas I had to cut out to create the desired effect. I am really pleased with it, but please note that the actual photographs are not doing the card any justice at all. I am not being big-headed here, but it really does look so much better in real life (so to speak).

Thank you so much for visiting me today and hopefully, you will take some time to leave me a comment. Good or otherwise. I'm good, I can take critisism. If you don't like something, let me know, it's all good.

Anyway, thank you for taking time out of your day to visit me, and I hope you will remember me and come back soon. Have a great day, hugs xxx

Forever Friends Challenge Sketch

Once again, I apologise for my tardiness in this fortnights Forever Friends challenge, as it is the Easter holidays here, we decided to take an inpromptu visit to Norfolk for a long weekend to make the most of our good old British weather! And NOOOOOOOO internet!!!!

So, without further ado, here is my creation for this fortnight's challenge.

You will need to follow the sketch (as shown below), you must use a Forever Friends image and basically as long as you use the sketch (you can flip it or rotate it to suit your needs) you can then add your link on the Forever Friends Challenge blog.

Here's the sketch. I can't wait to see all of your lovely creations. Thanks for stopping by to visit me.

Good luck!

Just the 2 of Us

Hello girls and fellow crafters

Just a little something I have knocked up this morning for the Promarker and the Teddy Bo Challenges.
The Passion for Promarkers challenge is to make a card using 'make your own embellishments' and the Teddy Bo Challenge is to 'punch it out'.

As you can see with this card, I have made a wedding card using my Martha Stewart Heart Border punch and have made my own rose using tissue paper. Basically, I cut a circle of white tissue paper and then scrunched it up in a ball and then cut a spiral into it, then I simply wound it around the end of a paintbrush and then let it spring loose slightly before sealing it with a glue dot.

I used the wedding car digi image from the Teddy Bo and Bea collection (that I won recently by getting the TOP THREE, can I get a whoop whoop?) and then coloured it with my promarkers; tan, sandstone, cool grey 3 and 4 and blush. The DP are from my Sweet Owl collection as mentioned before. The individual hearts around the image are what were punched out from the MS border, that I just mounted with foam pads. The 'bumper' on the car was coloured with my silver metallic sakura gelly roll pen.

Hope you like it?
Hugs xxx

Burgundy and White Wedding

'sme again

Just another little something I have put together, this time using a Pink Petticoat digi image. A friend of mine asked me to put this card together so... this is what I came up with.

Thanks for stopping by, hugs

Monochrome Wedding

Love this Easel wedding card, this is a close up of the front. I made this card for the Stampin' for the Weekend challenge which is Monochrome.

I added a black mirri card border at the bottom that had been edged with my Martha Stewart Doily Punch. The stamped image is by Anita's if I remember rightly, one of my oldest stamps (I think) and the background flowers are by Hero Arts (clear stamps) and the Congratulations is probably also Anita's. The 'Hugs and Kisses' sentiment is a freebie from 'Create with TLC', she does some fabulous sentiments, both free and available to buy. She's very talented and I love seeing what she comes up with next. The ribbon was bought from Hobbycraft, who have started selling their ribbon on spools in 3m for 99p, £1.99 and £2.99 depending on the design of the ribbon, this was a 99p one and it reminds me of the ribbon you get from SWAG when my husband purchases a charm for me for my Links of London bracelet (aren't I a lucky girl). I only get them on special occasions so I am not totally spoilt.

Simply Lilac

This is just a really simple Wedding card. I decided that I hadn't used this stamp in a while and I wanted to see what it looked like coloured in with my ProMarkers. I stamped the image and then stamped it again so that I could decoupage it and stamped 'a day to celebrate' underneath the image. Simple and elegant...

Wedding Invitations

Well, I am pleased to annouce that I have finally (no...FINALLY!) finished making 100 wedding invitations and 100 RSVP cards for a friend of mine. She got married in Cyprus last year and I made a few invitations for that occasion but she wanted me to make some additional cards for her wedding celebration in the UK, in October. She was so pleased when I told her that I had completed them and thankfully she really likes them. I've put a lot of time and hard work into making them, I couldn't post a picture because they haven't been posted yet so watch this space. They were really quite simple to make, just a simple ivory card with two embossed hearts on the front and the words 'a day to celebrate' in silver, stamped on the front below.

I'll post pictures when i know the invitations have gone out. Even though she officially got married last year, I don't want to ruin her second big day in October. Good luck Emma and Richard. Love always
