Bamboo Bear

Here is a card that I recently entered into a forum challenge with some crafting buddies. The theme was to make a baby girl card, a card for a 1-18 year old girl and a grown up lady card.  This was the card I entered for the 1-18 year old. I stamped the background with my favourite leaf stamp from PSX. i have had this stamp for what seems like forever and I love it so much on backgrounds.  The image in the foreground is from QVC and is called Bamboo Birthday.  The sentiment is by Hero Arts.  The image was coloured with watercolour pencils only and I added some black gems to the eyes.

Life of the Party

This card is one I made for the Penny Black Challenge, the Allsorts Challenge and the Create 4 Fun Challenge.

The Penny Black challenge was to create a card using a Penny Black stamped image and 'flowers'.  The Allsorts challenge was to make a birthday card to celebrate their blog's birthday and the Create 4 Fun Challenge was to make a card using the following sketch.

I made my card by starting with a plain white base card, I then took some Paper mania green card stock and ran it through my Big Shot with the Cuttlebug Dots Embossing Folder.  I added a red strip of card and used the same card to create the large scalloped circle. I then stamped the Penny Black image 'Life of the Party' onto white card and circle cut it with my circle nesties. I coloured the image using ProMarkers Ice Grey 1, Forest Green, Canary, Orange and Poppy. Finally, I added a Hero Arts sentiment and some flowers with centered adhesive pearls. Job done!

Faerie Heaven

Here is my latest offering.  The background stamp is 'Sketched Butterfly' by Stampendous and was a present from my good friend, Sarn and the fairy is by PSX. This is one I have had forever. Fae means Faerie and so I am a huge collector of faeries and such like and therefore this stamp is a definite keeper. I don't use her very often but when I do I am always happy with whatever I have created and this is no exception.

I stamped the background butterfly onto white cardstock with 'Impress Lavender' raised ink pad and then stamped the faerie with black Stayzon and added a little blue pencil to her wings and a few of the butterflies in her hair and then added some glitter. I then stamped the greeting from Hero Arts, which I cut out leaving a small border and mounted onto black card which also had a little border when cut. I then added the ribbon and the pearls and some more glitter to the background butterflies. Et voila! Faerie heaven. My work here is done!

I made this card for my sister-in-law, Dianne, who is celebrating her birthday tomorrow. Happy Birthday Di, have a great day!

Cupcake Sprinkles

This card was made for the Stamp tacular Sunday Challenge using the sketch provided on their blog. I really liked working with this sketch and therefore decided to keep the colours bold and simple. Hence, pink and black again!!! Sorry!

The cupcake is one of a collection of stamps from Hero Arts and the sentiment is also Hero Arts. I added the clear glaze and then some sprinkles and I used a masking technique to add the candles to the cake.

Again, I was really pleased with how this one came out. Wish me luck???

Cupcake Heaven

My favourite of the trilogy I have made today. I stamped the base card with the cupcake stamp I used in the main image and then stamped it twice on the white cardstock. Then stamped it a third time, cut it out and mounted it with foam pads. I then added the clear glaze and the sprinkles as before after colouring. This card was coloured using my promarkers and my copics. Really simple, but bright and bold. Lovely!

Sprinkled with Fun

Another cupcake card made with the same set of stamps from Hero Arts but this time instead of using the masking technique, I have simply cut out the left and right cakes and mounted them with foam pads.

Different background paper than used before, but the same ric-rac ribbon and less sprinkles. Hope you like it - I'm off to get some CAKE!

Cake Anyone?

On my recent day out with Sarn, we went to Camden Lock in London. On our way back to Euston, we stopped off to meet Sarn's hubby Gra at the National History Museum in Holburn. Of course, Holburn is also home to Blade Rubber Stamps, so we popped in there on route and I bought these gorgeous Hero Arts Stamps - Cup Cakes. Aren't they gorgeous! I love them so much and each card I make with them makes me HUNGRY! Ha Ha Ha

I made this card using the masking technique (all the cup cakes are on one level rather than decoupaged) i.e. stamp the image you require onto card, then stamp it again onto a post-it. Cut out the post-it image and then stick it over the top of the original image you stamped. Once you have masked it, you can then add as many other items as you want around it. I stamped the left and right cupcakes first and then masked them and then added the big cupcake at the back, and because they are clear stamps, the masking technique is even simpler, because you can see exactly where your stamped image is going to go. This was a really simple card to make, but I wanted to jazz it up a little so I added clear glaze to the left and right cupcakes and then added 'sprinkles' on top. Yummy!

Lilac Blooms

This is a different easel card that I made last night also, for my mother-in-law. Her colours as you can probably tell are lilac and purple.

I was a little nervous colouring this card as it was the FIRST TIME EVER USING SANSODOR with blending stumps! I think I did pretty good for my first attempt though and I was really pleased with the finished result. I am sure that Gwen will love it as Steve was really pleased with it too.

The image is from Lili of the Valley which I stamped onto plain white card. I then added a strip of white card behind the image which I stamped using a rather lovely butterfly stamp that my mate Sarn gave me a while ago, I think it's Stampendous, but she would know for sure??? I'm not very good at remember names am I? The 'sending sunshine' sentiment is Hero Arts and so is the little dragonfly next to it, which I stamped three times and then added the little dashes with a black pen freehand. I added the ribbon and the flowers and then put all the layering together. Looks pretty good I think and, as I said before, I was really pleased with how the Sansodor looked when I had finished colouring the image with my coloured pencils.

Monochrome Wedding

Love this Easel wedding card, this is a close up of the front. I made this card for the Stampin' for the Weekend challenge which is Monochrome.

I added a black mirri card border at the bottom that had been edged with my Martha Stewart Doily Punch. The stamped image is by Anita's if I remember rightly, one of my oldest stamps (I think) and the background flowers are by Hero Arts (clear stamps) and the Congratulations is probably also Anita's. The 'Hugs and Kisses' sentiment is a freebie from 'Create with TLC', she does some fabulous sentiments, both free and available to buy. She's very talented and I love seeing what she comes up with next. The ribbon was bought from Hobbycraft, who have started selling their ribbon on spools in 3m for 99p, £1.99 and £2.99 depending on the design of the ribbon, this was a 99p one and it reminds me of the ribbon you get from SWAG when my husband purchases a charm for me for my Links of London bracelet (aren't I a lucky girl). I only get them on special occasions so I am not totally spoilt.

Sketch Challenge C4C25

This is the card I have created using the sketch over on Crazy for Challenges Blog (C4C25) and the pink, yellow, green scheme over on Penny Black Saturday Challenge Blog.

The Sketch, as I said, was challenge C4C25 and the main image used is obviously Penny Black. The Penny Black Saturday Challenge Blog set the colour scheme and I think I have done pretty well considering I didn't think I would like using all of those colours on one card (too sickly) but nevertheless, I think with the promarker colouring, the added flowers, gems and the Hero Arts sentiment, it all came together fairly well. I wouldn't say I was thrilled with it, but it's alright!

Cupcake Explosion

I absolutely LURVE this card. Definitely my most favourite one that I have made so far this year. I love the bold colours. I drew the cupcake freehand and then mounted it onto black card and cut round leaving a small, thin border. I then added foam pads to the back and mounted it onto pink square scalloped cardstock and then again onto black. I stamped the base card with a candle stamp from a birthday set I have and then stamped the sentiment. When I mounted the cupcake onto black card I then coloured it with cinnamon, blossom and pastel blue promarkers and then added the Glossy Accents to the cake part of the image and then added little sprinkles while the gloss was still wet. Yummy!

Baby Bunny

This little cutie is also 'Little Cotton Rabbits' in case you couldn't tell (ha ha ha) and she's also courtesy of Sarn. What would I do without her? I'm now hooked on these little fellas which means having to now spend more money. Thanks mate...!

I left this one just stamped as she was and didn't colour her in as I wanted to keep this card just black and white with a little hint of pink through the flowers. Again, stamped 'Hugs & Kisses' as on the previous card.

Oh Bunny Boy...

This lovely little fella was sent to me by Sarn. I think they're 'Little Cotton Rabbits' and the 'Hugs & Kisses' stamp is by Hero Arts.

I watercoloured him in really light pastel colours as I wanted this card to be given to a baby boy and added the 'Starry' background paper.

Con-grad-ulations!

I was asked to make a graduation card for a friend's niece. I think this stamp is called GraduBella (although don't quote me on that, it was part of a selection of images sent by my friend, Linda). I added sime greenery to the bouquet and watercoloured her gown so that it wasn't TOO black. I added some ribbon and her name. Some flowers and some glitter to the roses. I have also added a tassle to the spine of the card (although this is not visible in the photo). I also added some glitter to the collar of her gown, just to add some glitz. The 'congratulations' is from a clear design collection from Hero Arts.

Dun Roamin'

Another Whipper Snapper, this one is great for new homes or travellers. Used the same background paper I bought from the Glitter Pot on the previous card and a scalloped circle with the 'hello' clear sentiment stamp from Hero Arts. Ribbon, flower and Zoomz to finish.

Lily and Milo

Hi guys, I bought this stamp (among other things) at the Glitter Pot when I went to visit Stamping Caz for a crafting class. We had a great day and it was really nice to meet up with Sarn and Shaz. The flower and dragonfly stamp in the background are from clear stamp collections by Hero Arts. I watercoloured the image and then mounted it onto linen embossed cardstock. I then finished the card with some fabric flowers and a ribbon with beads. Hope you like it, Fae xx

Hefferlumps...

Love this card...love this card...love this card! I've just finished making it and I can't help but smile when I see it. Elephant is by Whipper Snapper Designs and it's just gorgeous, I didn't think I would ever like any other elephant stamp as much since the one and only Penny Black one, but this is just too cute! The gray cardstock the watercoloured image has been mounted to has a leather effect, like an elephant's skin and therefore looks much better in real life but I really do like it so much. The whole thing was then mounted onto baby pink cardstock and a pink polka dot ribbon attached down the left. Lined a black dashed line around the outside of the gray and added a scalloped greeting with 'Kisses' (from a 'Hugs & Kisses stamp by Hero Arts - masked the Hugs & bit off) and some pink lips (from Hampton Art).

Blossom Times

Another card made with the Penny Black stamp. Again I have masked the 'Bloom Where You're Planted' words and just kept the flower. Added glitter this time and watercoloured the flowers petals and the water in the vase. Added Hero Arts 'Have a Great Birthday' and added three zoomz to a strip of red velvet ribbon on a background of red and then added to red hammered cardstock.

5 Minute Wonder...

Here's a card I literally knocked up in 5 minutes. It was a friend's birthday and I had forgotten all about it, so I put this together quickly so that her husband could collect it when he came over to collect their daughter, Emma's, 18th Birthday Card. Penny Black stamp has Bloom where you're planted written down the left side of the image but I masked that bit off because I wanted to put 'Have a Great Birthday' on it by Hero Arts. Highlighted and coloured with pencil and added a PaperMania flower. Didn't have time to add glitter as it wouldn't have dried in time, else I would've added it to the vase.

Sunflower Heaven

This card is a bit 'bright' but I think it works. The name 'Kay' I cut out manually and decoupaged to the front of the card to break up the blank left side. Not sure who makes this stamp, I think it might be one that Sarn sent me ages ago. I'm going through my files as you can probably tell with all the cardstock I haven't used in so long. Anyway, I found quite a few stamped images too so I thought I'd put them to good use...FINALLY! Coloured with watercolour pencils, and added a flower where the stamped flower is. His nose is an adhesive pearl (they come in VERY handy those little pearls...) Hero Arts 'Have a Great Birthday!'
