Sleeping it off...

Hello again

My next card for today is another male card.  This time I used a digi image rather than a stamped one.

I really like this image and it is available here at Di's Digi Downloads. He's called 'Beer Bear'.

I loved this background paper and have had it for ages as it seemed to overpower anything that I put with it,. However, with this image it seemed to compliment it perfectly so I was really pleased with the overall outcome.

I then added a Craftwork Cards greeting, which I coloured in with a Promarker to compliment the colours used.

Finally, I added some Card Candi which I also coloured in with the same Promarker colour. Job done!

So... what do you think of my male cards so far? Too young still? Watch this space, there's more to come.

Thanks for visiting me,
Hugs,

Lianne's Birthday Card

Hi girls
Just a quickie as I took this photograph with my Blackberry rather than my camera and have only just managed to upload and edit it.

I made this card for Lianne's recent 14th Birthday. She seemed to like it as it has been added to the ever growing pile of 'Cards-We-Want-2-Keep'. She had a really nice day despite her mummy havinf a stroke just 10 days before, but we still managed to make her day a special one. Even if it did cost me a small fortune, she's worth it.

Devoted & Dashing Dad

Hi girls (and guys)

This fortnights challenge on the Forever Friends challenge blog is to create a ROUND CARD. Remember, you don't have to use a Forever Friends image if you don't have one as long as you use an animal.

This fortnight's challenge is sponsored by Di's Digi Downloads and she very kindly gave the DT some images to use on our creations.  As you can see, my card is not exactly a round one but the front of the easel is. I had originally made the easel round as well but I wasn't happy with the finished result. So I remade it with a square base and a round easel and I think it worked out well.

I used a selection of different papers, merged the digi image with a sentiment from Create with TLC and coloured the image in with my promarker pens. I added a round birthday sentiment from Craftword Cards and job done.

Not entirely happy with the finished result, I reprinted the image again and coloured it the same way as the original and decoupaged the bear only to the front.

Here's a slightly smaller image so that you can see the decoupaged area.

I hope that you will decide to join in the fun this time and good luck.  I hope you like my card that I created for the Design Team.

Thanks for stopping by, hugs xxx

Forever Friends Buttons & Bows Challenge

This is my card for the latest Forever Friends challenge, 'Buttons and Bows'.

We were asked to make a card using a digi stamp from Di's Digi Downloads and (of course) a Forever Friends image. So Buttons and Bows was the theme and this is the card that I made. One person has seen this card so far, as I made it for my BFF, Sarn, who celebrated her birthday on St George's Day. Her lovely hubby Gra took her into London for the day and it sounds like she had a fab time and also some fabulous weather. Hope you had a lovely day Sarn?

Anyway, back to my card.... I merged two Di's Digi Downloads images together and then stamped out a FF stamp, which I coloured and cut out and then decoupaged to the image with foam pads. I then coloured in the rest of the image and mounted some DP to the base card. I then mounted the whole thing onto pink mirri card and then added some buttons, a bow and a sentiment. Hope you like it?

A MAN card

Hi girls,

As a rule, I don't generally tend to make many MAN cards as they are usually a nightmare to have to think about. But, I got this digi stamp from Di's Digi Downloads and had to find a good use for it, to make me feel better about downloading it.

It's a lovely image that just about sums up every man I know, with the odd exception so I thought today would be MAN day. I went to my trusted 'Inspiration Jar' and pulled out a few ideas and this is what I created.

Here's what I did:

The designer papers are from my stash and therefore I cannot tell you who make them, but they were only very small pieces so I decided to use them up.

Two pieces of blue designer paper stuck down and mounted onto black card stock with only a very small border and then mounted onto the base card. I added some blue spotted ribbon, wasn't sure about this but I think it works?? and then the image, which was coloured with my Pro Marker pens and coloured pencils.  I drew a circle around the areas I wanted (using a glass) and then cut around it. I roughed the edges up slightly using my craft knife.  I then cut a scalloped circle using my nesties and Big Shot and mounted the image onto that. I added the sentiment, which I handwrote and mounted onto black cardstock and then added the gemstones. Hope you like it???

Thanks for stopping by to visit me today.

Flower Power

I made another card today with another one of Di's Digi Downloads. Another cutie, don't you agree? Anyway, onto the card.

I coloured the image with my Pro Markers and pencils and I added some glitter to the Prima flowers.  I then used some freebie papers (which I added to the base card) from Cardmaking and Papercraft Magazine. I mounted the image onto some coloured cardstock which I created with my circle scalloped nesties, which I ran through the Big Shot. I then added some card candy and some swirls made by using my Marianne Creatables and my Big Shot. I finished with a sentiment from Craftwork Cards and that's that.  Hope you like it???

Thanks for stopping by.

At the beach...

Hi crafty friends
Just a quick one from me today, just to let you know that I am still around and haven't fallen asleep on my laptop!!! As if (ahem!).

Well, today's digi image comes from Di's Digital Downloads and it's soooooo cute. I love them. I was visiting my friend Lisa at WishCraft when I came across these lovely digi stamps that she was using and I just had to have a look for myself (mistake number 1).  I came across some of the cutest images I have seen and just had to have them (mistake number 2) and proceeded to download SIX of them (mistake number 3), but hey... you only live once, and what little I have I can't take with me so whoops!!! Paypal!!! Kerching! What the hell, it's only money (and my childrens inheritance ha ha ha - not any more).

Anyway, 'nuf of my waffling on and down to business. Here's my card, hope you like it and thanks for taking the time to visit me today. Hope to see you all again soon.
