and finally...

This is the pumpkin that I made for my family this Halloween. We bought the tombstone from Asda and the pumpkin, which is huge, was a bargain at a £1.

I then bought a plastic spider and stuck it on the top of the lid so that when the pumpkin has a candle inside and is glowing it gives the spider a spooky glow... creepy!!!

FINALLY... I would like to wish you all a happy hallowe'en that's full of treats and no tricks. I'm off to fly on my broomstick now... ha ha ha ha ha

Simply Lilac

This is just a really simple Wedding card. I decided that I hadn't used this stamp in a while and I wanted to see what it looked like coloured in with my ProMarkers. I stamped the image and then stamped it again so that I could decoupage it and stamped 'a day to celebrate' underneath the image. Simple and elegant...

Bella and Bronte

Here's Bella and Bronte again, this time coloured in a completely red theme. Again, the card is for Sarah's nineteenth birthday, but this one has COUSIN on it as Lianne and Lewis wanted to give this card to Sarah.

I decoupaged Bronte and Bella's arm, body and head and her boot. I added some red ribbon for texture and highlighted certain parts of the background paper by adding glitter.

I think Bella looks good in red and I just love Bronte as s/he reminds me of my dog Ali. Although we rescued her from a dog rescue centre just a few months ago, after she had already been there for twelve months. It turns out that we will only have her for a short period of time as she has a tumour growing in her stomach. She stopped eating for a while and got very, very skinny so we took her to the vet, who gave her a steroid to help her gain her appetite back. Unfortunately, now that she is eating, and eating well, she is also feeding her tumour, which has grown considerably in the past week or two, which means that her time here with us is borrowed and therefore, we won't have her for very much longer. Which is sad, but I am grateful that she is with us, with a loving family, surrounded by people who love her, instead of her dying in the kennel that she had called home for twelve months. Although she was well cared for there by the workers and the volunteers, I still wouldn't swap the past six months for anything. We love you Ali xxx

Joy

Here's Bella again. This time she's on a card for my niece, Sarah. Her nineteenth birthday is coming up soon in November. This is an A4 card and the letters were made by cutting them out on my BigShot. The background papers were purchased from Ally Pally.

Blogoversary

YAY 4 ME, Teena in Toronto just reminded me that... today is my BLOGOVERSARY!!! Happy birthday Blog, you've served me well.

Soaking Up the Joy 2

Soaking up the Joy again. A different version this time without the grass. It didn't look right with this background that I created so I coloured another one. The background was made with my clear Hero Arts flowers and a bit of black and metallic purple ink. I think it looks great with the image mounted onto black mirri card and the pink gemstones. I wasn't going to but I added a circle birthday greeting just to finish it off.

The full version of the card in all its glory. I was really pleased with this as it was a very simple sketch but the card came out really well. And although I have made my own backgrounds before and they have never turned out very well, I am pleased that it did this time and I like it.

Soaking Up the Joy

This is another digital image from Mo's Digital Pencil - this one called, Soaking Up the Joy. Bella with her dolly in a beautiful grassy spot surrounded by flowers. I did the grass myself as this is not part of the stamp, but it seemed that that was where she ought to be standing.

A close up of Bella. As you can see, I glittered her skirt and added white spots to her top, shoes and hair ribbon.

Patient Friends 2

Another version of Patient Friends.
This time in a red jumper and blue jeans with a black border and three black gemstones with a black and white gingham ribbon and a little birthday greeting. It didn't quite look finished as it was so I added three black buttons on the opposite corner that I threaded with black ribbon. I think this is really cute.

A full version of the card. Thanks Mo's Digital Pencil...

Patient Friends

This is Patience again (from Mo's Digital Pencil), still in blue and green but this time with spots. I do like this little madam and her pet cat although I do feel rather sorry for the cat! I made this card for a friend who I know will love it too. I coloured this image with my ProMarkers and added a metal 'friends' charm and some colour coordinating adhesive gems. A bit of blue ribbon and some scalloped circles and a birthday greeting.

This is the whole card and I am really pleased with how it turned out. Hope you like it.

Patience

Another digital stamp from Mo's Digital Pencil. This one entitled 'Patience'. Coloured in my favourites, blue and green. I love this image so much as it just about sums up young children.

I added some black adhesive glitter, that I cut with my nestabilities and then a smaller white scalloped circle and mounted a white 'Birthday' greeting. I coloured this one with my Copics, although I am fast losing interest in them as they don't seem to be lasting as long as my ProMarkers. Anyone else experiencing this problem, or is it just me???
