Forever Blowing Bubbles...

This card was made using a Penny Black stamp that I have had quite a while. I was lacking inspiration so I consulted my 'inspiration jar' and selected the following challenges for myself:
  1. Use a Penny Black stamp that you haven't used in a while.
  2. Do not add any colour to the main image.
  3. Apart from Black or White only add one additional colour.
The only addition to the main image that I used was a little Stardust Stickles on the bubbles (although I don't think that shows up very well on the photograph).

I then added a simple 'Hero Arts' sentiment, a couple of corner pieces and some plain white Card Candi from Craftwork Cards that I added the same Stardust Stickles to.

Hope you like it and thank you very much for stopping by.

21 AGAIN!

Hi girls, s'me again.
I know, I know... I'm like a London Bus. You don't hear or see me for 'AGES' and then all of a sudden, you're getting a post (or two) a day!!! What's going on I hear you ask? Well, after my many, many hospital visits this year, I have finally got my mojo back up and running again, and, as you can probably tell from my jovial tone, yes, I am feeling pretty good right now. Still have a massive headache, but I have worked out a way around that.

Anyway, without further ado, here is my latest card, one that I might add, I am very pleased with. I was asked by my mum's friend Pamela, to make a special 21st birthday card for her Neice, Jessica... so here it is. I decided to go with a pink theme, as she is quite a 'girlie-girl' and then kept the colours on the image to a minimum i.e. brown, lots of different pinks and grey with a little green on the flower stems.

Here is a smaller image of a close up of the bear and a list of supplies I used:

Promarker Pens: Magenta, Dusky Rose, Blossom, Cool Grey 4, Cool Grey 3, Cool Grey 1, Burnt Umber, Cinnamon, Caramel and Grass with a little Canary Yellow for the centre of the flowers.
Papers: First Edition Paper, Sweet Owl 8 x 8 Collection
Stamps: Lili of the Valley
Card Candi: from Craftwork Cards and coloured myself to match
Ribbon: from Stash

I am entering this card into this week's Lili of the Valley Blog Challenge, which happens to be themed 'Roses'.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you like my card?

Hugs

Forever Friends 'Spots & Dots' Challenge

Hi guys and girls
Sorry it's been a while, but here is my card for this fortnight's Forever Friends Challenge (Spots and Dots sponsored by I am Roses). Remember, you don't have to use a Forever Friends image, check out the FF Challenge Blog for the new rules.

Here's my card:
I used Promarkers to colour it in and used a rubber stamp image for the calender embellishment (from Lili of the Valley) at the top left. Coloured the background with my usual 'spotty background' and added some Candi from Craftwork Cards. The border punch was created using my Martha Stewart punch and the background papers are from First Edition Paper (Sweet Owl Collection).

Thanks for stopping by.
Hugs xx
