Forever Friends Challenge Sketch

Once again, I apologise for my tardiness in this fortnights Forever Friends challenge, as it is the Easter holidays here, we decided to take an inpromptu visit to Norfolk for a long weekend to make the most of our good old British weather! And NOOOOOOOO internet!!!!

So, without further ado, here is my creation for this fortnight's challenge.

You will need to follow the sketch (as shown below), you must use a Forever Friends image and basically as long as you use the sketch (you can flip it or rotate it to suit your needs) you can then add your link on the Forever Friends Challenge blog.

Here's the sketch. I can't wait to see all of your lovely creations. Thanks for stopping by to visit me.

Good luck!

Ruby Bea

Hello again

Here's Teddy Bea, again I coloured her with my Promarker pens and I used parcel paper for the background on the basecard and then made a circle with some remaining paper and made another rose.

I mounted several pieces of brown paper onto red card and coloured Bea's dress and boots with Ruby and the bear in Sandstone.

I added some ribbon and some pearls to finish the card off.

Just the 2 of Us

Hello girls and fellow crafters

Just a little something I have knocked up this morning for the Promarker and the Teddy Bo Challenges.
The Passion for Promarkers challenge is to make a card using 'make your own embellishments' and the Teddy Bo Challenge is to 'punch it out'.

As you can see with this card, I have made a wedding card using my Martha Stewart Heart Border punch and have made my own rose using tissue paper. Basically, I cut a circle of white tissue paper and then scrunched it up in a ball and then cut a spiral into it, then I simply wound it around the end of a paintbrush and then let it spring loose slightly before sealing it with a glue dot.

I used the wedding car digi image from the Teddy Bo and Bea collection (that I won recently by getting the TOP THREE, can I get a whoop whoop?) and then coloured it with my promarkers; tan, sandstone, cool grey 3 and 4 and blush. The DP are from my Sweet Owl collection as mentioned before. The individual hearts around the image are what were punched out from the MS border, that I just mounted with foam pads. The 'bumper' on the car was coloured with my silver metallic sakura gelly roll pen.

Hope you like it?

Let's Celebrate

Hello again,

Here's the second card I have made today, using another of my Fizzy Moon stamps. This time, I made an easel card.  I wasn't sure about the large circles on this card at first but I think it has now grown on me.

You can't really see it in the picture, but the image has been decoupaged and I have used clear glaze on the bottle and the bears nose. I used some more DP from the Sweet Owl collection and added some ribbon down one side.

I added quite a few pearls to the pink mirri card circle on the bottom right and added a sentiment.

On the base of the card I added some more DP which was mounted with foam pads and used some more ribbon and added a printed birthday greeting.

Hope you like the card?

Swinging Z-Fold Card

Hi girls (and fellow crafters)

Steve's frien, Mark, asked me to make a couple of birthday cards for his sister-in-law and his Niece, so here's the first card I came up with.

It's a Swinging Z-Fold Card that I created using a technique from www.splitcoaststampers.com, the link for the tutorial is HERE.  It turned out lovely and I really like the technique. It's easy enough to follow and the end result is worth it.

I found these lovely stamps by Fizzy Moon, and this is one of them. I coloured it in using my ProMarkers and added a greeting and some pins.

Here's another view from the card while it is open and another view of the card standing on it's side.

I used some DP from First Edition Paper, the Sweet Owl Collection 8 x 8 pad. It's mainly pink and browns and half the pad is double sided and half is glittered. They're gorgeous in the 'flesh' so to speak, unfortunately the photographs aren't doing the papers much justice. It's fabulous having the sun shining throughout the day, but my camera doesn't seem to like it too much. So I will apologise now for the 'brightness' but, I hope you like the cards.

Don't forget to pop over to Split Coast Stampers and have a look at their fabulous tutorials in their resources section.

Thanks for stopping by. Hugs xxx

Burgundy and White Wedding

'sme again

Just another little something I have put together, this time using a Pink Petticoat digi image. A friend of mine asked me to put this card together so... this is what I came up with.

Lazy Boy Card

Hello again

Another card for you.  This card was made using a Garfield Colouring page image. I was asked to make it for a friend of my husband, who is celebrating his 30th birthday today.

I coloured the image with promarker pens and then, as before, used bmy circle cutter to cut a circle around the image. I then made a slighly larger one in order to mount it onto diamond mirri card.  I used some 'water-like' DP to mount on the base and then added the 'circles' using foam pad. I then added the greeting that I printed out on my printer.

To finish the base and give the easel something to rest upon. I printed off three more fish from the image and cut them out after colouring and mounted these also with foam pads.

Ela's First Birthday

Hello fellow crafters and friends

Just thought I would take some time on this gloriously sunny day to upload a few of the cards I have made in the past week or so.

This first one is for Ela Mai's FIRST Birthday and was created using an image from Mo Manning at Digital Pencil Too.

I made an easel card base and then decorated the top. I printed off the image and added the words, then cut a circle around it using my circle cutter. I then cut a slightly larger circle out of diamond mirri card. After I coloured the image using my promarkers, I added some DP to the base card, some flowers and some pearls. I then mounted it the 'circles' to the base of the easel with foam pads.

Thanks for stopping by, hugs xxx

Anything but a Card

Hello fellow crafters.  Apologies for taking soooo long to post my entry for this fortnightly challenge. I am soooo pleased to be part of the Forever Friends Challenge Fortnightly Design Team!!

So for my first DT duty, this fortnights challenge is "Anything but a card"

I came up with an inspiration jar! I got an old coffee jar that was finished and washed it out thoroughly. I always keep these old Douwe Egberts coffee jars as they come in brilliantly for storing buttons, ribbons, charms etc. I covered the front of the jar with a piece of white paper that I had printed the words, 'My Inspiration Jar' onto and then proceeded to stamp my image onto it. I coloured it with promarkers and then stamped out the same image several times onto a thicker card. Which I left uncoloured and cut out leaving a slight border.  Inside the heart, I wrote down several pieces of inspiration, so now whenever my MOJO is lacking, I can reach for the Inspiration Jar and make a card using 1, 2 or 3 of the inspirational messages. Et voila!

Hope you like it.
Thanks for stopping by and supporting me and the Forever Friends Challenge Blog. I look forward to seeing what you come up with.

Hugs, Fae xxx
