Okay... so the challenge over on the Tiddly Ink Challenge blog this week is 'Happy Birthday'. Christy is wishing a very merry unbirthday to everyone with this challenge.
As I have a friends, an aunts and a nephews birthday all coming up this month, I thought I would get stuck in and make a start.
Here is my card for the Tiddly Challenge: I started with a Black mirri card base and added some DCWV Designers papers to it. I then mounted my image 'TI Pinky' onto black mirri card also and coloured her with the following ProMarkers: Ivory, Blush, Ice Grey 1, Cool Grey 3, Blossom, Magenta and Cinnamon. I then did my usual thing with the whole 'dotty' background thingy and added a glittery sentiment (leftover from a kit stash), a rather large black flower and a black circle centre, which I covered with glue and sprinked with micro beads.
I then added a little bit of highlighting to her hair and clothes and used the same white highlighter to pick out certain areas of the netting under her dress.
Hope you like it as much as I do. I was very pleased with how this turned out. I know that quite a few of you have commented on the dotty backgrounds, so here's a little close-up piccy so that you can see that the dots are very random... no skill involved.
Thanks for stopping by.
Hugs, Fae xxx

OOOHHH Fae! Love the sparkle and dotty background. Great highlights too! Fab card! Thanks for joining the Tiddly Inkers this week! xxD
Fae what's the highlighter you use for the white bits on her hair? Thanks
Love love love how you colored her hair! Well, the entire card is fabulous, but I'm jealous of her hair! I've never done the dotted background, but after seeing how fab it looks, I may have to try it. I doubt it'll turn out a great as your's though.
Hi Amanda
In reply to your earlier comment, I have two white hightlighters. I have an Inkssentials Opaque Pen (White) and a Sakura Gelly Roll (Medium White). I have to say that I purchased the Inkssentials one first and it seemed fine at first, although you have to keep the nib of the pen quite clean in order to get a consistent line. Then, I purchased the Sakura Gelly Roll pen and to be honest with you, I can honestly say that I will never buy anything else now. It is always consistent and really smooth to write with and pick out smaller areas, I think it cost about £3.95 in Hobbycraft but, you may get one cheaper on ebay or something. It was definitely worth the money though. Hope this helps?
Thanks for your lovely comments.
