Another A3 card...
Here's another of my A3 cards for one of my colleagues at work who is leaving to get married, new job AND is moving house over the next few months... blimey! Talk about don't do things by halves. Anyway, ALL of the lettering down the left hand side of the card was done by hand and the text at the bottom was done on the computer. After outling the letters on the left I then colour co-ordinated the colours with the colours used on the image. The image itself is hand drawn in a similar fashion to that which I used on my previous A4 card (sorry I keep calling them A3 cards, because I have used A3 cardstock and folded it I guess) and I have added flowers and buttons to finish it off.
Hope you like it, watch this space because there's gonna be more of them, all of which I have to get done BEFORE the 9th July!!!!! Hellllllllp me! No seriously... watch this space!#
Cheers, thanks for visiting

Get Well Soon Nanna
Hi girls (and possibly guys) just thought I'd quickly show you the card I made for my 82 year old nanny Rose. She went into hospital today for a knew operation which will be taking place tomorrow so when I go up to see her tomorrow afternoon I wanted to take a special card with me to cheer her up. This is the card I came up with.
I was talking to my friend Sue in Watford Market today, and I purchased some gorgeous Prima flowers and some cardstock off her and I was telling her about the card I made recently for the Penny Black challenge where I folded the ribbon over to make pleats along the width of the card and that gave me the idea to do the same on the ribbon for this card. I bought the ribbon in TKMax on Saturday. They're fabulous! Anyway, the image is from Lili of the Valley coloured with blendables pencils and the papers were free in a paper craft magazine. The Prima flowers were purchased today from Sue on Watford Market, finished off with a single adhesive pearl in the centre and the writing at the bottom is my own handwriting.
Hope she likes it and isn't too long in hospital??? My daughter is having her 13th birthday party on the 10th July and she really wants her great-nanna to show the young 'uns how to boogie (my nan is always the first on the dance floor and the last one off...at least until recently!) So come on nanna, sort it out and get back home and walking... See you tomorrow, Fae xxx
Thanks for visiting and I hope you'll come back and visit again soon.

Oooooooer
Just to let you all know, my appointment at the hospital finally came through. I go into hospital in July for my hysterectomy so I may have to have a little break from card making for a while. I'll be around before then but if I should suddenly go quite, that's the reason why.
See you all soon, will have another couple of cards to post later today if not tomorrow so like I said, you'll still see me around for a little while, but I may disappear briefly and that is the reason why.
Thanks for visiting, please come back soon.

A3 Leavers Card No 2
This is the second of many A3 Leavers cards that I will be making over the next couple of days. I got the image from a child's colouring page which was totally perfect for Louisa who will be leaving at the end of the Summer Term to have her first baby and I thought this image just about summed up how a first pregnancy probably looks to everyone who hasn't yet had one. I love the loading trolley too ha ha ha, that made me chuckle!
Anyway, I hope that Louisa and Matt have a beautiful bouncing baby soon and that all are happy, healthy and well.
Thanks for stopping by, please come back and see me soon. Fae x

A3 Leavers Card No 1
This is an A3 card that I made for one of the girlies who will be leaving us (from the school where I work) at the end of the Summer term. I love it. She's taking a year off (a sabbatical) and taking some time out to relax and enjoy her time off before coming back to us in a year's time. So this image by Mo Manning (over at Digital Pencil Too) was perfect I thought.
And the close up (shown here) really shows the detail that Mo puts into her digital stamps. I think they are all special in their own way. I love them all (well...most of them and believe me, there are only a FEW that I am not keen on). Hope you like it anyway.
Come back and see me soon, thanks for stopping by, Fae xxx

Listen to his Words...
Hi everyone, a late entry tonight as I have been working hard on this for most of the evening and I am pleased to say that I have finally finished...
I have made this card for Bronte and Bella's Challenge Blog (Mo's Digital Pencil). This is my first time of entering one of their challenges as the cards that are entered are always so fabulous that mine fade in comparison but I have really worked hard on this one and therefore feel it is worthy of sharing on Mo's blog. The rules are that you use only Mo's images and this week the additional rule was to make an EASEL card. So here it is.
I hope you all like it, this was one of Mo's freebie images and I just love it. The sentiment is from TLC (link on my favourite blogs) and it says 'if you wish to know the mind of a man, listen to his words'. I also thought that as this month we would be celebrating Father's Day, I would make this card for my lovely daddy who deserves so much more than I could ever give him, but I always hope that a handmade card, straight from the heart, will at least show him, just a little bit, how much he means to me and how much I appreciate him for everything he does for me. Love you daddy xxx
Thanks for dropping by and viewing my blog. I hope you enjoyed your visit and that you will come back again soon.

Peaches and Cream
Following on the PLEATS theme but not entering this one into the Crazy 4 Fun Challenge, this is a really cute image that was purchased from e-bay (due to it's cuteness and unavailability anywhere!!!), I carried on with pleating the ribbon as I thought the effect on the previous card was really effective and very pretty, what a wonderful idea (not mine, all credit goes to Mercy Kerin, DT member of Crazy 4 Challenges Blog).
Anyway, I'm also a really big fan of sepia and although I couldn't accurately re-create this with the cardstock I have at home, I did have some really pale pinky beige card and the flower. The lips on the ribbon are maybe a little two pink but believe me it looks really nice in real life, the photo really isn't doing it very much justice. Lianne, my daughter, asked me to make it for her friend Sharna, whose birthday it is tomorrow and she had forgotton to ask me to make one, so I had to do a little bit of a rush job, but I still like it though.
Lianne liked it and as it was she who commissioned it AND has actually paid me to do it (ha ha ha lol) she was pleased with the overall finished result.
Thanks for stopping by, hope you manage to come back and see me again soon.

PLEATS and SWIRLS challenges
Hi girls, s'me again. I am on a roll. I have made another challenge for the PBSC, SWIRLS, and also to be included in the Crazy 4 Challenges Blog Challenge which was to make a card with PLEATS.
Anyway, here is my entry which includes the very lovely PB image 'you are the bestest' that I have just received from Handy Hippo. These are new 'slapstick stamps' and they are fab as although they are as rubber stamp you can still attach them to an acrylic block and the best thing is... they take up next to no space whatsoever. Definitely getting some more of these.
I have used a very summery green and yellow theme throughout and the swirls were cut out on my bigshot using some dies from Marianne Design 'Creatables', therefore incorporating the SWIRLS theme and the ribbon has been pleated in a concertina style, thus abiding by the rule for Crazy 4 Challenges PLEATS.
Anyway, I hope you like it as I was REALLY pleased with how this one turned out. Definitely my favourite card of the month so far.

Summer Lovin'
Right... this card represents THREE blog challenges as follows:
So here is the card in all it's glory, I was really pleased with the finished result but really wanted to put a different sentiment on it, unfortunately I couldn't make my mind up but I really wanted to finish the card tonight.
Pearls are the birthstone for June and they represent friendship and loyalty (amongst other things) and I thought this PB stamp indicated both of those qualities.
I hope you enjoyed visiting my blog, please drop by again soon.

A WARNING to all dog lovers
No-one told me, nobody warned me...
I have just finished watching the film HACHIKO A Dog's Story, about an Akita and his loyalty to his master (starring Richard Gere). If you love animals, but especially dogs, and have lost one at some point in your lifetime then be warned before you watch this film... YOU WILL CRY BUCKETS!!!! So have plenty of tissues to hand, and I mean PLENTY.
This is such a sad tale and although I love to torture myself now and again by listening to sad songs and sad movies and having a real good blub, I really wasn't prepared for this. And to top it all off...it's TRUE!!! Apart from all that though, I would recommend this film to anyone, I really enjoyed the story and the relationship between dog and master. A truly heart breaking film but worth all the tears I have just shed a million times over. Definitely a keeper!!
Good luck dog lovers everywhere... you'll need it.

Sansodor Too
I haven’t used Sansodor for a while so I thought I would get it out and have a little play this evening. I am also sending this blog message via Windows Live Writer, so it’s a little experiment really (to see if it will work). I love this little Penny Black cat called ‘Fragile!’ by Margaret Sherry 2000 Collection so it’s quite an old stamp but I love it.

Bamboo Bear
Here is a card that I recently entered into a forum challenge with some crafting buddies. The theme was to make a baby girl card, a card for a 1-18 year old girl and a grown up lady card. This was the card I entered for the 1-18 year old. I stamped the background with my favourite leaf stamp from PSX. i have had this stamp for what seems like forever and I love it so much on backgrounds. The image in the foreground is from QVC and is called Bamboo Birthday. The sentiment is by Hero Arts. The image was coloured with watercolour pencils only and I added some black gems to the eyes.

Li'l Red Dress
First card of the month... decided to go for a red and white theme in honour of the World Cup which will be starting soon and taking over my husband's and son's life.
The image is from a colouring page that has no copyright as long as it's for personal use and I have made this for a friend of mine's daughter, so won't be selling it on.
I just love this image, it's really cute and after I created the background with a clear heart stamp and coloured a few in red to match the rest of the card (ProMarker Poppy) and then I added the red glittered hearts from Express Yourself DIY which were purchased in Ryman.
Hope you all like it.
