Hi everyone
The weather here has been absolutely lovely today so I have been a busy, busy girl in my crafting studio at the end of my garden. Its been so peaceful now that the children are back at school and I got absolutely loads done.
I recently came (literally stumbled) across an amazing place to buy digi stamps, The Paper Shelter. They provide such wonderful images and I have bought LOADS!! Couldn't help it, they're just so adorable. I especially love the vintage designs.
Here are a few cards I have recently this week, using images from The Paper Shelter, all there digital images can be found here.
This first card was made using Soccer Star. I kitted him out in the Watford Football Team colours as I have made this card for my son's 13th birthday at the end of this month.
I used Copics and Spectrum Noir colours and added three stars in the same colour as the layering card used. I especially love the confetti background on this stamp as I hate it when there is too much 'white' background. The stars are linen embossed so I'm also entering it into the TPS FB Challenge this week.
All The Paper Shelter stamps come with a plain line drawing image, a coloured image and background papers for you to use if you wish, so it's perfect if you have a last minute card that you need to make in a hurry.
This young lady is called 'Mad About Shoes'. I just love shoes. Shoes and handbags.
I made this card for my daughter's friend, Megan, who celebrated her 18th birthday this week.
I coloured the image with Copics and Spectrum Noir markers and added a few flowers and stars as embellishments. The sentiment says ' if friends were flowers, I'd pick you'. An oldie but a goodie.
I kept the theme of this card as pink and purple as these are Megan's favourite colours. I then added a few adhesive gems and finished the card off 'easel' style by folding an A4 sheet of card in half and then added the image to the front of the folded piece.
And this... this is my favourite so far.
This little piece of Oooh La La is called 'Si Belle'. Isn't she simply adorable? She has a cute little piece of flirtation in her eye as she sits there all coy and demure.
I coloured her with my Copics and Spectrum Noir markers and added some grey and pink background papers. I was really pleased with how my colouring turned out in this one too. I then added a greeting and some Card Candi in similar colours.
I just love her to bits. Remember, if you love the style of these Digi stamps, pop over to The Paper Shelter at the link above and have a look around, they've something for everyone's tastes. Great images to use and colour or just use the coloured images provided. Simple.
Hope you liked some of the cards I have made this week. I am really pleased with them all. By the way, the Paper Shelter are doing a DT call at the moment too, so if you're interested, make a card using a DIGI image only (as they will not accept stamped images), have a go and post it on their blog. You never know. I'm entering...
Thanks for stopping by.
Regards, Fae xx

Craft Room Update
Hi All
Thought some of you might like to see my new craft shed from the inside now that it has finally been built and the inside has furniture and supplies in it. It is still a work in progress and I need some more furniture and craft bins for my papers etc but here it is...
Not all the walls have been painted yet and I need to get a carpet for the floor as the wood is doing my head in. Although at one point I was considering just varnishing it. It's just getting very dirty at the moment so I thought a lovely thick carpet might be better in the winter. Don't know yet.
Got quite a bit still to do to it, but it's MY space and I LOVE it.
Thanks for visiting,
Fae xxx

Nanny Rose / Back to School
Dear All
Apologies for not adding any new projects lately, my beloved grandmother, Rose, died at home, aged 86, in August and I haven't, until recently felt much like crafting.
Anyway, this week, I picked up my ProMarkers and had a little play and I did, make this card for the latest Passion for ProMarkers Challenge 'Back to School', which you can find here - I hope you like it?
The digi stamp is called Book Pile Miller from Simply Betty Stamps and looks exactly like my son did this morning on his first day back (yes - he did go back to school on a Friday!!!???). I coloured him with my ProMarkers and added a red border to the greeting and the image. The background paper was some leftover scrap so I apologise, but I cannot for the life of me, remember who made it.
Hope you like this cheeky little fella?
Have a lovely evening and thanks for stopping by for a visit.
Hugs, Fae x

Duckface by Mo Manning
Here's an image by Mo Manning at Digital Pencil that I have been working on recently.
I have also 'retired' from work on medical grounds, so I should have a lot of time to craft (you'd think?) but I haven't had a lot of time to craft recently as my grandmother has been gravely ill and recently passed away on 1st August 2014.
I am now just trying to keep myself busy by colouring in as much of my spare time as possible so that when I actually have five minutes (or so) to put a card together, I will at least have a few images all ready for assembly.
I love this image, she's called Duckface and you can get her here. Isn't she lovely? She actually reminds me of most of my daughter's and daughter's friends 'selfies' posted all over Facebook and Instagram as they all have this pout look. Lol x
Anyway, I thought I would share my colouring with you. What do you think?

One for the Boys/Men
Hi all
Just a little something I have prepared for this week's various blogs challenges, listed below:
Passion for ProMarkers challenge 'One for the Boys/Men' Here
Ooh La La Creations No 158:
Passion for ProMarkers challenge 'One for the Boys/Men' Here
Ooh La La Creations No 158:
I was asked to make an 18th Birthday card for a friend of my daughter's, and decided, as he will be doing his first driving lesson on his birthday, this lovely image from Lili of the Valley would be perfect.
I used my beloved ProMarkers (and Prismacolour pencils for highlights and lowlights) to colour this image and added a few candi embellishments and a sentiment (also from Lili of the Valley).
Hope you like the card and I look forward to seeing everyone's projects in the above challenges.
Thanks for stopping by and thank you for taking the time to view my blog.
Hugs

My news...
Dear fellow crafters
Here I am... at last... with some exciting news...
I have finally managed to free myself of work commitments (my last official day will be April 30th, 2014) and I am going to attempt to focus on the more important things in life, for example: my health, my wealth and my happiness.
I have set up a tab on my blog, selling my digital artwork, which I hope you will like (and hopefully some of you will buy). I have never done anything like this before and therefore I have kept the costs very low, just to see how it goes. I'm most definitely going to have some fun creating some new and hopefully wonderful images for you in the next couple of days, weeks, months etc.
I now (at last - only 22 months late!!) have my little working office up and ready to paint before I move all my kit in. Wanna see a picture?
It's a very large space and I'm so thrilled with it. The original concrete base that we had was too small for this one so we had to extend that too.
Can't wait to paint it and start moving my bits and bobs in but the past two days it's been raining here so I can't. Always the way isn't it?
Anyway, that's my news. Hope you are all well and hope that you come back and see me again soon.
