Not related to Tenerife, just incase anyone was interested as I have received a couple of texts since arriving here about it, but yes, Steve went back to the doctors yesterday and has been for more blood tests and some tests on his kidneys. He still has the blood infection although they are still not sure what that means exactly or what has caused it and they think he may be having a few problems with his kidneys, which could be a result of the operation??? or could be related to the Actiniomyces that he had. We´ll see and I will let you know more when I get home and find out more, but he is currently well and regaining his strength... fingers crossed, it stays that way.

Another Postcard from Tenerife
Ola everybody, it´s me again, reporting from a very sunny Tenerife. Well... not so sunny at the moment as it is 10.45pm. Tomorrow is our last night here and so we are going to go out with Mum and Grandma to see a singing Elvis impersonator. We have been watching Britains Got Talent too, how sad are we all??? But hey, it´s gotta be done. I even managed to make a card here too with some lovely bits and bobs that I bought today, it was quite a spectacle as well, as everyone sat around the pool area watching me. Should´ve bought some more stuff, I could have charged them all for a crafting session, ha ha ha! It could only happen to me, I only went down to the pool for a swim and a bit fo a sunbathe and to have some quite crafting time.
We are going to attempt to go and see the volcano tomorrow, if it´s not too hot, which should be fun, not for mum and nan but me and the kids should get a kick out of it, apparently they are currently filming ´Clash of the Titans´there, yet another remake of a remake no doubt???
Got a bit burned today as I didn´t have any sunscreen on, but tan is progressing nicely, even if I am a little stiff tonight, never mind though eh? I personally couldn´t care less if I am a wrinkly old hag when I am in my 60´s, I look like one now ha ha ha xxx
Anyway, doubt if I will get a chance to send another e-postcard, so I´ll say goodnight to you all now and probably won´t get on here again until I return to good ol´sunny England. God I miss my cup of tea, by that, I mean a decent cup of tea. Only Lipton´s Lemon Tea out here, unless I am looking in all the wrong places, but what I have been drinking, apart from the odd alcoholic beverage that is, is definitely not Tetley´s.
Anyway, I´ll say by for now and thanks for your lovely messages to my previous postcard - yes, we are all having a great time, but can´t wait to get back home.
See you all soon, Adios Amigos xxx

Blogging from Tenerife
Hi guys, I´m blogging to you from Tenerife... Playa de Americas to be precise. Having a great time. The weather here is overcast in the mornings but very very hot from lunchtime onwards. Already brown and have only been here since Sunday evening.
Today we have been along to the beach and have bought loads of things...mainly handbags, but for those of you who know me well, that will come as no surprise at all.
The children are having a fabulous time and nan is stopping every five minutes for a very large, cold beer...ha ha ha - no surprise there either???? She´s even started asking for double doubles...lush!
We are all having a nice time and despite the overcast mornings, are still managing to get sore shoulders and the backs of my legs are smarting a little. I´m not bothering with postcards as I didn´t bring my address book with me. Will try and upload a photo or two when I get back, maybe one of the volcano, which is beautiful and we can see it quite closely from the balcony window...fingers crossed no eruptions, although I think nan and mum might erupt at some point if they keep arguing with each other.
Love to all. Happy crafting and I´ll see you all soon. Take care

Ellie for Grandparents
This is a card I made for Tracey's mum, Theresa and Ian, who became grandparents for the first time. They are so proud. Bless!
Again, the basecard was embossed, using a bubbles embossing pad on my Big Shot, and the letters were cut using a Sissiz Die Cut. Added the flower which was a Papermania freebie, if I remember rightly, from a magazine.
I added a blue 'bubbles' ribbon under the letters on the left to add a bit of texture to the card.

Ellie for a Boy
Ellie for Nan
This is another of the 'Ellie' cards that I made for Elaine. This one was for Elaine's son Jamie to give to his nan. Although it was her 80th birthday, Elaine didn't want me to put 80 on the card
He's just tooooooo cute, please, if any one knows who manufacture's these stamps, please let me know or Linda, if you're around, please let me know where I can get them from?

Ellie for Mum
Sorry that these pictures didn't come out brilliantly, but at least there is something to share with you this week.
These images were sent to me from my friend Linda in the States. She didn't say who had manufactured them as she had just put a birthday card in for me (thanks Linny) and a selection of these images. Isn't he cute? I watercoloured the image and then mounted it onto thin plain silver mirri card and then mounted it again onto star spangled mirri card adding the ribbon and the die cut letters and birthday circle.

Welcome Ali...
Well, I'd like to introduce you to the newest member of the family. You will remember that earlier this year we lost our lovely Abi-Normal. She left such a gaping hole in my parents lives that they decided to go to our local rescue centre (http://www.nawt.org.uk/) on the hunt for a new dog that they could give a loving home to.
Ali is a twelve-year-old Staffy who has been at the centre for the past year. Sadly, no-one wanted to give her a home as they thought 12 would be a bit risky. However, my parents being the people they are, decided it would be worth the risk of losing another pet so soon if it meant that they could ensure that Ali had the best things in life for however long she was around. She has only been at home for two weeks and she has already settled in really well. She loves the children and adores my mum, she follows her everywhere, and dad has already started to lose the pounds he put on with not walking a dog since Abi went. She loves her walks over the park and she loves going on the school run with lewis and my mum in the morning and when he gets out of the car, she jumps straight into the front seat like a little old lady. Don't get me wrong though, for a little old lady she is still very sprightly. She jumps straight into my arms when I tap my chest and loves to just sit there and cuddle up when she needs a nap.
