A Splash of Lime!

Hi girls (and guys)
Hope you have not been too worn out by the 'heat wave' we have had today.

Just wanted to share a little card I have been making this evening for the new Baby Cremins. Hayden Thomas, who was born on 23rd June 2011.

I thought I would enter this card into the following challenges:
All Sorts - Lemon and Lime
Cute Card Thursday - Sketch #170
Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge - Fancy Folds

As you can see, the card mainly consists of lemon and lime colours and I have used the sketch as requested by Cute Card Thursday and the image is one of Mo's, using an easel 'fancy' fold.

Hope you like the card.

Forever Friends 'Birthday Card' Challenge

Morning fellow crafters

Just to let you know that the new (fortnightly) Forever Friends challenge has begun.  This time, we are sponsored by Bizzy Bec's, who have a wonderful selection of digi stamps for you to choose from. When I was asked to select one for this challenge, I didn't know where to begin, I was truly spoilt for choice!

For those of you who know me personally, my choice will come as no surprise whatsoever. I have a weakness about anything and everything Burlesque, so my choice of Bizzy Bec's digi stamps just had to be 'Burlesque Betty'. So here is my card for the DT:

Thank you so much for your visit and I look forward to visiting your blogs to see what you have created this time. We had such a lovely repsonse to the previous challenge, I hope you'll come back again this time for the Birthday Card challenge, remember... it doesn't have to be a Forever Friends image, just an animal will do.

Good luck! Hugs x

Humphrey's Corner 'Birthday Girl' Stamp Set

Good morning, fellow crafters.
It's such a beautiful day here in Hertfordshire that I got up really early and started crafting. Mojo is back, internet is fully operational...finally and I have a small selection of cards for you that I have made using my new Humphrey's Corner stamps. I just had to have them as they are just toooo cute.

I have made two cards with my first stamp so far, using different colour schemes.

Here is the first card:

I coloured her in with my Copic Pens and mounted her onto red, yellow and blue coloured cardstock. I then filled a white piece of cardstock with co-ordinating coloured dots (using the same colours I coloured the image with) and mounted that too onto red cardstock. I then mounted the whole thing onto a card base to finish. Really simply but, I think, quite cute card that can be used for any occasion.

The next card I made was using the exact same image but different colours and this time, I stamped two of the images and decoupaged her dress to give it a slightly 3D effect. Unfortunately, the photograph I took doesn't really do either of the cards any justice as the colours look so much more vibrant 'in real life' so to speak.

The blue colourway is also really simple but I really like the Humphrey's Corner image so I think, whether you like it or hate it, you'll definitely be seeing a lot more of them on my blog from now on.

Here is the 'blue version'. You can see that I have added some pink, green and yellow, just to liven it up a little and I have mounted the whole thing onto pink cardstock which is slightly glittered, but again, unfortunately you can't see much of it in the photograph.  I have stuck the dress down completely at the chest so that it is only slightly raised at the base of the dress.  Hope you like it?

Thanks for stopping by and paying me a little visit.

Father's Day 2011

Hello again

Another little card that I have made recently.  This is a card I made for Steve, from Lewis, for Father's Day. I know that this date falls on different dates throughout the world, but in England, we celebrated it last Sunday (19th June).

Steve really liked it and loved the Lili of the Valley stamped image that I purchased simply to use for his Father's Day card. I coloured it the exact same colour as his MAZDA RX8.

Thanks for stopping by.

Sea Monkey Card Request

Hi girls (and fellow crafters)
Just a quickie that I really wanted to share with you all as I was really please with how it came out.

I was asked to make a card for a 'New Baby' that consisted of a Sea Monkey. Personally, I have never heard of them but having googled them, I have to say that I am quite intrigued. I might get some for Lewis???

Anita, the lady at work, who asked me to make it, was really pleased with it.

Welcome to the world Rhyleigh Rose Richardson.

Forever Friends 'Spots & Dots' Challenge

Hi guys and girls
Sorry it's been a while, but here is my card for this fortnight's Forever Friends Challenge (Spots and Dots sponsored by I am Roses). Remember, you don't have to use a Forever Friends image, check out the FF Challenge Blog for the new rules.

Here's my card:
I used Promarkers to colour it in and used a rubber stamp image for the calender embellishment (from Lili of the Valley) at the top left. Coloured the background with my usual 'spotty background' and added some Candi from Craftwork Cards. The border punch was created using my Martha Stewart punch and the background papers are from First Edition Paper (Sweet Owl Collection).

Thanks for stopping by.
