Birthday Bunny

I love these little rabbits from Lili of the Valley, and this one is my favourite.

I got the back ground papers free from Card Making & Papercraft magazine and used the colour scheme with the image.  Because I had more than one sheet of the background paper I then used the duplicate sheet to cut out two of the flowers and mounted them onto the top right corner with foam pads, folded the petals slightly and added some glitter. I then added the sentiment in the bottom right corner.

I then added faux stitching all around the image. I was going to decoupage it but ran out of time as Linda was waiting to take the card away with her and she didn't have much time, although she enjoyed watching me make the card from scratch, drinking her tea and eating all my CHOCOLATE BISCUITS!!!! What a cheek! Only kidding Linda ha ha ha. Next time you come round with a rush order, bring your own chocolate biscuits!

Confirmation Cards

Hi girls, just wanted to share another few cards that I have been busy with this week. haven't made as many as I would normally as I have been to the hospital and had to sort out some stuff from my garage for a boot sale I was supposed to be doing this morning with my daughter, but when we woke up at 7am this morning, yes...7am (I'm cream-crackered!) it was pouring down with rain so we decided to give it a miss this week and do it next week instead! What happened to the gorgeous weather we have been having recently???

Anyway, on with the cards...

I was asked by a work colleague to make two CONFIRMATION cards. Being a non-Catholic person, I didn't have a clue what to do with them, so she suggested 'doves', so this was my rather easy interpretation of them.  They are for two young girls, emily and Maia, for Friday 30th April.

Trish was really pleased with them both so I must've done something right.

I stamped the background with a small heart stamp and stamped it with silver ink. Then a mounted a smaller square of white onto black mirri card stock and stamped it again with the same stamp and same ink.  I then added the ribbon and the sentiments. The dove was added with foam pads and then added three pink adhesive flowers.

I made the two cards the same but changed the ribbons so that the two girls could tell whos was whos.  Sorry the images are are 'shiny' I took the photographs just as I was going out the front door and had already polybagged them up.  Just as well I even remembered to photograph them otherwise I wouldn't have been able to share them with you.

Hope you like them as much as she did.

Day Off in Watford

I am at home today enjoying the sunshine and making a few cards for some forthcoming birthdays (May and June are really busy months in my family for birthdays) not to mention Father's Day that will be upon us soon.

I have to keep busy this morning as I am at the hospital this afternoon for blood tests, an abdominal scan and various other things that involve poking and prodding no doubt! No... calm down ladies, I am not pregnant, it is all in preparation of the hysterectomy I am hoping to have some time this year. I wanted to have it done when I was THIRTY but was considered, by my doctor, to be too young, so I have persuaded him to finally agree to a referral.

My appointment with the consultant is on May 11th... three days before my 38th birthday and although it could have come at a better time, I will be glad if the consultant agrees to do the operation this year! Fingers crossed.  Watch this space.  I think I will have to throw a womb leaving party or something.

Ha Ha ha, kisses, Fae xxx

Amazed...!

Hi Girls
I just wanted to share something with you...

My monochrome Brown card that I created for various blog challenges this week has been FEATURED on Kath's blog.  She asked me if she could feature it and of course, I jumped at the chance.  I was so amazed that SHE should choose to feature one of MY cards when hers are always so AMAZING that I just couldn't believe it.

Thank you so much KATH as you have made my week.

My best friend Sarn is celebrating her birthday today so Happy Birthday SARN and Happy St Georges Day to everyone else. Hope you have a lovely day and enjoy the weather.  I have an INSET day today at the school where I work so, a day off for me today.

Have a great day.

Wanna Hug?

This card was made really quickly last night before going to bed with one of the images I coloured whilst on holiday (which is now a very distant memory... holiday... what holiday?).

I just love Mo Manning's images (Mo's Digital Pencil) and this little cutie is no exception.  Her digi images are always exceptional quality and very reasonably priced. Be careful though, because they are so reasonable and because there are so many gorgeous images to choose from, you could definitely let yourself get carried away - so you might have to, like me, select just a few a month and spread the cost, then your other half won't notice so much! Hee Hee!

The papers were this month's freebie from a craft magazine and looked really nice behind the image.  Hope you like it, as it was a bit of a rush job before going to bed, but I still really like it (a lot) despite it's simplicity!

Multi Challenge Card

Well, I sat down last night to make a card and realised that I didn't have a huge amount of time left in the evening to make all of the cards I wanted to make, so I decided to combine a few blog challenges into one card!  And here is the finished result.  I apologise for the not-so-great quality of the photograph, unfortunately the light was either too dim or too bright for my camera last night.

One of the rules on the Daring Cardmakers challenge was to make a card with 'flap(s)' and to prove that my little Penny Black hedgehog is sitting on a flap... here is a photograph with the flap open.  The main rule for the Penny Black challenge was obviously to use a Penny Black image but also to only use monochromatic brown(s), so I stamped the image with brown Brilliance ink and then coloured the image in with the same ink and a little water.  I also stamped the sentiment under the flap with the same ink to tie it all in together neatly.

I hope you liked my card, but if you want to have a go yourself, there's still some time remaining to enter the challenges, just click on the link to the right of the screen in 'Other blogs I like to visit' and it'll take you right there. Good luck!

This card has been included in the following Blog Challenges:
Monochromatic Brown, Penny Black Saturday Challenge
Getting in a Flap!, Daring Cardmakers
Weekly Sketch (OCCSC11), Our Creative Corner

Ebay Items

I have just put a few stamps on e-bay for anyone who is interested in having a look.  Go to Sellers and then search for sillvermoon. You should then be able to have a look at what's available.  They're on there for a total of seven days so no rush, just thought that some of you may wish to have a look in case there is something that catches your eye.

All stamping items are starting at 0.99p (with one exception at £1.50) so you may be able to get your hands on a bargain or two.  If you do have a chance to get over there and have a look, thanks for taking the time!

Brown and Pink Theme

Well, here it is girls...the first card I have made since returning from my holiday! YAY!

I thought I would stick to just two colours (although there is also a hint of green too)... Brown and Pink.

I have added two sentiments and some flowers. At first I thought it was a bit 'busy' but then two friends came over and starting fighting over it so I thought I would photograph it before they nicked it (or destroy it in the process), so I thought it couldn't be that bad.

Anyway, I just thought I would share it with you all and hopefully, now that all my washing and ironing has been completed, I will be able to make a few more cards using the images that I coloured while I was away.

P.S. So glad that the sun is still out now that I have returned home. I have been able to hang all of my washing on the line and it smells so much nicer than tumble-dryed washing don't cha think?

Home...

Hi Girls,
Just a quick note to let you all know that I DID make it home safely. Fortunately for us, we made it home before the Iceland Volcano erupted. Although I do feel sorry for the families we made friends with in Tenerife who weren't due to fly home until Friday!! THEY'RE STILL THERE...stuck at the airport. And those that didn't make it to the airport are struggling to keep young families occupied and try not to run out of money. What a nightmare!

Love from TENERIFE

Hi guys and gals
Currently in Tenerife, so no cards to show you at the moment although I have been busy colouring in some stamped images that I bought with me in preparation for when I get back.

The sun is shining here, I have sunburnt shoulders but apart from that we´re having a great time. All is well with the children, I have hardly seen them as I have been sunbathing around the pool with a large vodka and orange most days, while they have been in it (the pool that is... not the vodka!) Missing you all and hope to see some of you when I get back.
