Stamptacular Sunday Challenge

Hop on over to the Stamptacular Sunday challenge blog (their link is on my list of blogs I like to visit) and join in their anniversary blog hop challenge. It's good fun and you have to visit every blog so that you can follow ALL of the instructions about what you should be doing on your card.

Good luck to everyone who joins in and remember, it's a bit of fun so there are no right or wrong ways to create your card, just follow the instructions and let your creative juices flow.

Enjoy x

Can-Can

I've been really busy this week and haven't had much time left for crafting but I did manage to make this card last night (when I managed to find 5 minutes for myself... well... okay then, half an hour!)

I used the sexy Suzette stamp from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps and then masked it using a large post-it note and then stamped her a total of three times so that it looked like she was a set of can-can girls and then coloured them in three different skin shades. I was really pleased with how this one turned out. Up close there is some glitter on certain areas as well which really makes all the difference.

Hope you like it.

New Sketch by Fae

Here's another sketch for you. I thought of this one last night and thought it would make a really pretty card. You can use it any way you wish, rotate it or mirror it, but please come back and let me know what you've done with it. I'd really love to see your card designs and to see what you come up with.

Keep popping by every now and again for more 'Sketches by Fae' and maybe next time I'll add a little blog candy, we'll see how many of you take part first though.

Enjoy x

Strut Your Stuff

This is another of my fabulous purchases from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps, this is Monique!

This one is mainly pink and grey, yes, I know... pink again! But it seemed to work perfectly with this image. The body of her costume, shoes and band on her hat were coloured with Pro Marker Blossom and then I went over them with my clear Sakura Jelly Roll pen. The 'Strut Your Stuff' sentiment came with the stamp.

I used the black gothic background card stock again on this card to add to the dramatic 'stage' theme. Hope you like it???

Sexy Suzette

This is one of my latest purchases from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps - meet Suzette. Isn't she fab! The black back ground card was purchased from my mate Sue on Watford Market and the image was stamped onto plain white card to match the base card, then she was coloured with Pro Markers. I love it and I'm really glad I bought it. Wait till you see the others... watch this space!

Cupcake Sprinkles

This card was made for the Stamp tacular Sunday Challenge using the sketch provided on their blog. I really liked working with this sketch and therefore decided to keep the colours bold and simple. Hence, pink and black again!!! Sorry!

The cupcake is one of a collection of stamps from Hero Arts and the sentiment is also Hero Arts. I added the clear glaze and then some sprinkles and I used a masking technique to add the candles to the cake.

Again, I was really pleased with how this one came out. Wish me luck???

Just the 2 of Us

I made this card using the sketch on the Sketch Saturday Blog. Sadly I wasn't able to get my entry uploaded in time for the challenge but I had great fun using the sketch nevertheless.

This was made with another of my Forever Friends stamps and my promarkers. I cut the oval by hand and then added the stamped image which was then coloured with Pro markers pens. I then added the sentiment, the flowers and mounted the additional hearts onto foam pads for a raised effect. I was really pleased with how this one came out and I think I would like to use this sketch again for another project. Really pleased.

As I am still in time for the Blog Challenge over at Teddy Stampers, I would really like to enter this one into their challenge which is "To Mother with Love".

Forever Blossom

On this card I have used my new Forever Friends stamp and coloured it with Pro Markers, Sandstone, Blossom and Ice Grey 1. The grass was coloured with my green copic, as the brush tip is perfect for flicking back the grass.

The little white spots on the grass were created with my white gel pen, for a little 'daisy' effect. I like doing this. The sketch was fairly basic but I decided to keep the pink and black theme going. I made three pink cards in an evening so I'm really bored of pink now.

Cupcake Heaven

My favourite of the trilogy I have made today. I stamped the base card with the cupcake stamp I used in the main image and then stamped it twice on the white cardstock. Then stamped it a third time, cut it out and mounted it with foam pads. I then added the clear glaze and the sprinkles as before after colouring. This card was coloured using my promarkers and my copics. Really simple, but bright and bold. Lovely!

Sprinkled with Fun

Another cupcake card made with the same set of stamps from Hero Arts but this time instead of using the masking technique, I have simply cut out the left and right cakes and mounted them with foam pads.

Different background paper than used before, but the same ric-rac ribbon and less sprinkles. Hope you like it - I'm off to get some CAKE!

Cake Anyone?

On my recent day out with Sarn, we went to Camden Lock in London. On our way back to Euston, we stopped off to meet Sarn's hubby Gra at the National History Museum in Holburn. Of course, Holburn is also home to Blade Rubber Stamps, so we popped in there on route and I bought these gorgeous Hero Arts Stamps - Cup Cakes. Aren't they gorgeous! I love them so much and each card I make with them makes me HUNGRY! Ha Ha Ha

I made this card using the masking technique (all the cup cakes are on one level rather than decoupaged) i.e. stamp the image you require onto card, then stamp it again onto a post-it. Cut out the post-it image and then stick it over the top of the original image you stamped. Once you have masked it, you can then add as many other items as you want around it. I stamped the left and right cupcakes first and then masked them and then added the big cupcake at the back, and because they are clear stamps, the masking technique is even simpler, because you can see exactly where your stamped image is going to go. This was a really simple card to make, but I wanted to jazz it up a little so I added clear glaze to the left and right cupcakes and then added 'sprinkles' on top. Yummy!

Lilac Blossom

This is another easel card that I made for my friend, Wendy, to give to her mum on mother's day. She likes simple and elegant cards and she loved these flowers. I stamped the flowers with lilac and then sprinkled with glitter. The background paper I have had for a while and therefore don't remember who made it.

A simple lilac ribbon and some words to finish. I then cut a border from the same background paper for the inside bottom of the easel and then punched it with my doily punch by Martha Stewart. Wendy liked it and I hope her mum will too. Happy Mother's Day for tomorrow to all mum's old and young - have a great day! You deserve it.

Magnolia Blog Candy

To be in with a chance of winning some gorgeous blog candy, hop on over to http://stardustgemsandribbon.wordpress.com/. Carole has some gorgeous cards there to look through for fab inspiration and she really is talented. Lovely blog too. Good luck everyone x

Lilac Blooms

This is a different easel card that I made last night also, for my mother-in-law. Her colours as you can probably tell are lilac and purple.

I was a little nervous colouring this card as it was the FIRST TIME EVER USING SANSODOR with blending stumps! I think I did pretty good for my first attempt though and I was really pleased with the finished result. I am sure that Gwen will love it as Steve was really pleased with it too.

The image is from Lili of the Valley which I stamped onto plain white card. I then added a strip of white card behind the image which I stamped using a rather lovely butterfly stamp that my mate Sarn gave me a while ago, I think it's Stampendous, but she would know for sure??? I'm not very good at remember names am I? The 'sending sunshine' sentiment is Hero Arts and so is the little dragonfly next to it, which I stamped three times and then added the little dashes with a black pen freehand. I added the ribbon and the flowers and then put all the layering together. Looks pretty good I think and, as I said before, I was really pleased with how the Sansodor looked when I had finished colouring the image with my coloured pencils.

Spring is in the Air

This is the card I made last night for the Saturday Sketch Challenge and the Penny Black Saturday Challenge. The Penny Black challenge involved making an Easel Card (my favourite, so no hardship there) and the Sketch Saturday Challenge involved using the sketch (layout) which I have copied to the latter.

I decided that my theme would be Mother's day as I still had yet to get around to making mum's card, and her favourite colours are spring colours, yellow, cream and lime tones of green.

I stamped the image onto plain white card which I then ran through my BigShot with my circle nestabilities. I then coloured it and restamped it onto another sheet of plain white thin card. Where the flowers overlap the circle die, I then cut out the individual flowers and mounted them with foam pads.

I then made my base card for the easel and added the green cardstock at the bottom, which I used my faithful Martha Stewart punch to edge and then proceeded to use different coloured card to make up the sketch design. I then simply added the Penny Black image so that I could add the card to their Challenge for this week too. Mum loves my Penny Black stamps so I knew she would love the image on this particular card and the colour scheme really works well with the colours on the image too. Hope the challenge blogs like my design this week.

Fingers crossed x

For Sharon's Mum

I made this card for my friend Sharon, her mum is celebrating her birthday on Tuesday next week and she wanted a card that showed how her mum's dog always pulled her when she walked it, obviously it had to be funny. I got the idea from a free clip art image and then just added details like her mum's coat, the dog itself, who is sandy coloured and slightly curly (not to mention slightly nuts) and then I added the easel base card (yes, another easel card...sorry but I love them so much) and then added the border, edged with Martha Stewart's Doily Punch and added some ribbon and the flowers with gemstones. The MUM was handdrawn and cut out by hand and then foam mounted just above the border. Hope she likes it.

Camper Love

I made this card for my friend, Claire, who is celebrating her wedding anniver- sary today. She has just started making cards with her daughter but wasn't having a luck of luck with inspiration so she asked me if I would make this card for her husband Paul. I believe the camper van is a logo of Animal brand clothing, which he loves and she has bought him something for their anniversary with the camper van on it, so this was the perfect image to use.

This is a view of the open easel card. I used the happy anniversary stamp that I have had for ages (I think it's Anita's - sorry, having an elderly moment today with my stamps and they're not currently with me as I am editing my blog at my parents). I'm afraid I cannot remember who made the background paper either, but I bought loads of it at Ally Pally last year! Sarn gave me the stamp and I added a black mirri card doily punch border and also mounted the sentiment and the image onto black mirri card. I then added three adhesive gem flowers.

I think the colours work really well, although I wasn't 100% sure when i started putting it all together, I initially thought that maybe I should have coloured the camper van in green, but I'm glad I chose the blue now. I am really pleased with how it turned out and Claire was over the moon! Another job well done xx

Monochrome Wedding

Love this Easel wedding card, this is a close up of the front. I made this card for the Stampin' for the Weekend challenge which is Monochrome.

I added a black mirri card border at the bottom that had been edged with my Martha Stewart Doily Punch. The stamped image is by Anita's if I remember rightly, one of my oldest stamps (I think) and the background flowers are by Hero Arts (clear stamps) and the Congratulations is probably also Anita's. The 'Hugs and Kisses' sentiment is a freebie from 'Create with TLC', she does some fabulous sentiments, both free and available to buy. She's very talented and I love seeing what she comes up with next. The ribbon was bought from Hobbycraft, who have started selling their ribbon on spools in 3m for 99p, £1.99 and £2.99 depending on the design of the ribbon, this was a 99p one and it reminds me of the ribbon you get from SWAG when my husband purchases a charm for me for my Links of London bracelet (aren't I a lucky girl). I only get them on special occasions so I am not totally spoilt.
