4 Rory

This card was designed for a friend, Charlotte, who left work recently to have a baby. She had a nine pound baby boy and they've called him 'RORY', so this is for little Rory. Mum and baby are doing well so I'm told and I used one of the Penny Black images kindly sent to me by Sarn. I added Rory's name down the right hand side of the card and partly cut out the letters to frame it. The background paper is called 'Baby Boy Star' and is by Pebbles Inc. I then added some flowers and some coloured, adhesive gemstones which were my latest bargain. For just £1 in Poundland you get a huge sheet of three different colours, with 120 different sized gemstones (40 stones of each colour - 4 different sizes). WOW!!!

To be honest with you Sharon, I printed a whole alphabet off on my printer, in my favourite font. Then I get some tracing paper and trace the leters I need, then transfer them to the card, centered in the area I'm using and then draw over them with a permanent pen and then, on this occasion, I cut around the letters leaving a small border to make the edge of the card different and unique. Does that help?
